AFFIDAVIT OF SERVICE
I, BWIRE KENNETH a process server attached to Jinja High Court do solemnly state and
swear on oath as follows.
1. That I am a male adult Ugandan of sound mind in which capacity I swear
this Affidavit.
2. That on the 25th day of July, 2023, I received a copy of summons and
summary plaint from Counsel Namungo Hamza to go and serve upon the
defendant.
3. That counsel told me to contact the plaintiff herein for directions to the
defendant’s home place.
4. That the plaintiff directed me to the defendant’s home at Busei central
Plot No. 1143, Kigulu county, Iganga District and also gave me his contact
number.
5. That at around 1 o’clock, of the same day, I boarded a taxi to Busei central,
in Iganga district.
6. That upon arrival at Busei central at 2pm, I called the defendant’s number
0774263126 and requested him to direct me to his home and he was
hesitant.
7. That upon reached the home of the defendant, I found a lady whom I
came to know as ‘mama’ Sarah and introduced myself and asked for
BYANSI GEOFREY whom she knew as her husband.
8. That a tall light skinned man came out of the house who introduced
himself as Byansi Geofrey whereupon I also introduced myself and the
purpose of my visit.
9. That I served him with a copy of the summary plaint and the summons and
he hesitated to sign without consulting his lawyers.
10. Attached herein is a copy of the said summons as proof of effective
service.
11. That whatever I have stated here in is true and correct to the best of my
knowledge.
