Description

All the terminal/Junction boxes have been licensed by European Union standard. They
are manufactured in accordance with EN 60079-7 “Ex e” standard. “Ex e”
Terminal/Junction boxes ensure reliable prevention of unacceptably high temperatures
and sparks or electrical arcs, both on the internal and on the external parts of electrical
equipment whose normal operation does not involve unacceptably high temperature
sparks or arching. The following components can be mounted into enclosures and all
internally mounted components are within the area of the baseboard but in small sizes
mounted by weld stud on the internal surface of the enclosure.

 Cells and batteries are not permitted in the enclosure.

Installation and Maintenance

The electrical junction box should be installed in accordance IEC 60079-14. Observe
following instructions for installation of the enclosure:

 This enclosure has after sales service and quality assurance so notify any defects
caused by transporting.
 Only qualified personnel are allowed to perform installation and maintenance tasks
to this product.
 Use in ambient temperature -20°C to +55°C.
 Use stainless steel brackets and bolts for installation the enclosure.

 Coupled enclosures are mounted on the stand by using roller bolt.

 Avoid opening and replacing any joint and accessories that is mounted on the
enclosure.
 Only certified terminal should be used.
 Any hole and modification should be via manufacturer and approval of the employer.
 In order to ensure that the bolts are used for cover are tightened, observe the following
table:

 Check all terminals screws are tightly closed.

 Cable glands must be tightened.
 The clearance holes for entries shall have a diameter not more than 0.7 mm greater
than the nominal diameter of the entry thread gland or fitting.
 The paint of the enclosures shall have a maximum thickness of 0,2 mm.
 Use the large size of the plain washer to completely cover the holes of the Cover SJB
280 & SJB 380 to guarantee the IP.
 There are two hinges in one side and two screws in the opposite side of SJB 280 &
SJB 380 that provide a proper pressure on the cover that IP depends on them.
 Do not open enclosure while energized.

Warranty includes:

 Replacement or repair of defective parts or components in a fall or stroke as well

as damage caused by power supply disturbance or incorrect connection to the
power grid.
