    Circle

    Circles only have one side and


    no corners.
    Square
    A square is a regular shape.
    It has 4 straight sides and
    4 corners.
    All the sides are the same length.
    Pentagon
    A pentagon has 5 straight sides
    and 5 corners.
    All the sides are the same length
    in a regular pentagon.
    Rectangle
    Rectangles have 4 sides and
    4 corners.
    They have 2 long sides and 2
    short sides.
    Triangle
    Triangles have 3 sides and
    3 corners.
    All the sides are the same length
    in a regular triangle.
    Hexagon
    A hexagon has 6 sides and
    6 corners.
    All the sides are the same in a
    regular hexagon.
    Octagon
    An octagon has 8 sides and
    8 corners.
    All the sides are the same in a
    regular octagon.
    Oval
    Ovals only have one side
    and no corners.
    Rhombus
    A rhombus has 4 straight sides
    and 4 corners.
    All the sides are the
    same length.
    Trapezium
    A trapezium has 4 straight sides
    and 4 corners.
    It has 2 opposite sides that
    are parallel.
    Kite
    A kite has 4 sides and
    4 corners.
    It has 2 long sides and 2
    short sides.
    Heptagon
    A heptagon has 7 sides and
    7 corners.
    All of the sides are the same
    length in a regular heptagon.
    Nonagon
    A nonagon has 9 sides and
    9 corners.
    All of the sides are the same
    length in a regular nonagon.
    Decagon
    A decagon has 10 sides and
    10 corners.
    All of the sides are the same
    length in a regular decagon.
