 Make sure the laptop is well ventilated by ensuring that the vents are

clear of obstructions
 Don't use the laptop on the bed
 Repeated use of a laptop on the bed will cause the fans to suck up the dust
and debris in the bed, ultimately blocking the fan

Clean the laptop often


 Take a few minutes to clean the PC of dust
 Focus on the following
o Keyboard
o Vents
o Screen

Be gentle when plugging in peripherals

 Peripherals are the items you plug into the laptop, these can be
o USB flash drive
o Headphones
o Adapters
o Power Supply
Many of these items have specific ports or locations, so pay attention to the
shape and size of the items you are trying to connect
Avoid placing things on top of the laptop

 This can push the LCD screen into the keyboard, and may eventually
damages the screen
 This includes anything from your phone to books, dishes or clothes
Shutdown the laptops

 Shutdown the laptops after completing your tasks to reduce the potential
damages due to overheat
 Shutdown will allow the laptop’s hardware to rest and reset
