Roles & Responsibilities
• Coordinating and managing team to design and develop
Side body, Front End and Underbody & Closure system
systems as per project delivery.
• Working out concept and feasibility of new design,
creation of Master-sections, defining boundary
conditions, location and joineries.
• Setting crash target along with CAE & project team as per
marketing requirement.
• Periodic reviews with CAE to validate and finalize each
system design based on system DVPs.
• Finalize material for each part based on CAE results as
well as Stamping simulations. Iterate between thickness
and material grades to achieve low-cost solution.
• Preparing and maintaining documents like ESOW, SOR,
DFMEA, DVP and Styling requirement
• Timely release of components and systems adhering to
Product Data Book and meeting Functionality, Cost,
Weight and Crash, NVH &v Durability targets, Styling
requirements, manufacturability, Serviceability and
Assembly requirements

• Attending system team meetings and escalating concerns
to Project Leader in case of any deviation in time plan.
• Coordinating with Manufacturing team & suppliers based
at Mahindra Plants for execution of design.
• Supporting build & validation teams during Vehicle build

notes, Design change requests, DFMEA sign-off, Variant
wise BOM sign-off, DVP sign-off, Tooling kick-off and
interface mapping sign-off
• Preparing design documents and helping
department in setting design guidelines for the systems.

• Concept generation & Master section based on interface
pack edging and crash requirements.
• Defining the docking plane for underbody and bodyside
joinery.
• Energy path definition based on primary secondary and
tertiary to absorb the crash energy.
• Cater mounting requirement of all interface with keeping
minimum component design in mind.
• Packaging of interfaces like Powertrain, seat, IP, Interior
trim ETC. Ergonomic accessibility check which include
ingress and egress of occupant, Seat insertion, cockpit

different role and gone through a journey from
collage participant to organizing committee
