Dear School Head:

Warm greetings from PEAC!

I would like to thank the school leaders and administrators who participated in the first and
second rollout of Towards Standards-Based Quality Assurance for Senior High Schools in 2021
and 2022. I hope the training program has been beneficial to your institution.

The Private Education Assistance Committee strongly believes and supports the need to
strengthen and upgrade the continuous improvement efforts of private educational
institutions. Aligned with our mission to enable quality, sustainability and innovation of the
private education sector in support of national development, PEAC has been developing
quality professional development programs for teachers and school administrators.

In 2019, PEAC was commissioned by the Department of Education (DepEd) to conduct a

research on the perceptions of SHS administrators on their knowledge and practices in the
implementation of the SHS program during SY 2018-2019. PEAC developed the proposed
Senior High School Certification Assessment Instrument (SHS CAI) for the SHS departments
of voucher-participating institutions. To optimize this DepEd-commissioned work, PEAC
shall conduct reruns of the three-day webinar-workshop titled Towards Standards-Based
Quality Assurance for Senior High Schools.

This training aims to orient SHS administrators on the importance and process of quality
assurance as a vital mechanism for attaining school excellence, and the program introduces
to the participants the proposed SHS CAI as a tool for internal quality assurance.

This training program is open to the following SHS administrators especially:

Principals
Vice Principals
Academic Coordinators
SHS Department Chair
Quality Assurance Officers
School Director/Directress

SHS administrators who are licensed professional teachers, will complete the three-day
training, and are able to submit the workshop output can earn CPD credit units.
The training will be done via the Zoom video conferencing platform so all registrants are
required to have a Zoom account (one account per participant).

Participants are advised to meet the following technical requirements for the training:
1. a device (laptop, desktop or tablet) that can support the latest Zoom application and
has a working camera/webcam and microphone; and
2. an Internet connection with a bandwidth of at least 3 Mbps. Use of cellphone and
mobile data is not advised because the training will run for several hours.
