CREATION OF THE ABKD-BARANGAY DENGUE BRIGADE

WHEREAS, DILG 2014-16 dated January 2014: AKSYON BARANGAY

KONTRA DENGUE mandates an inter-agency cooperation strategy to intensify the
government’s fight against dengue outbreak in order to reduce cases and control its
transmission;

WHEREAS, Local Chief Executives are enjoined to cause the enactment of Executive
Orders embodying measures on dengue prevention and control as well as allocate funds
for the above purpose subject to local and national rules and regulations;

NOW THEREFORE, I FE MADARANG TIRO, Punong Barangay of Brgy.

Lumbaan-Bicbica, Pinili, Ilocos Norte, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law,
hereby ORDER;

Section 1. Creation and Composition. The ABKD-Barangay Dengue Brigade

shall be created with the following composition:

Section 2. Duties and Functions of the ABKD-BARANGAY DENGUE
BRIGADE. The Dengue Brigade shall have the following duties and functions;

1. Intensify the conduct of Clean-up Drive in the Barangay through the

mobilization of volunteers, residents and the Barangay CHT’s and
Barangay Tanod/BPATs;
2. Conduct information campaign relative to the OL-Trap Kits;
3. Assist in the identification of Distribution Centers or stores for OL-Trap
Kits;
4. Mobilized the Barangay CHT’s as distribution agents of OL-Trap Kits;
5. Allocate funds to sustain the continuous supply of OL-Trap materials for
free to their barangay constituents; and
6. Submit to the Municipal Dengue Task Force, thru its Chairman, Mayor
Samuel S. Pagdilao, Sr. and the DILG a Monthly Report on
programs/projects/activities undertaken re Dengue Prevention and Control,
on the 20th day of every month.

Section 3. Funding. Funding requirements for the expenses to be incurred in the

furtherance of its functions shall come from the General Fund.

Section 4. Effectivity. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately upon
approval.
