Non-Reactive: <0.5

NS1 ELISA
The non-structural protein 1 (NS1) of the dengue viral genome has been shown to be useful as a tool for the diagnosis of acute dengue
infections. Dengue NS1 antigen has been detected in the serum of DENV infected patients as early as 1 day post onset of symptoms
(DPO), and up to 8 DPO. The NS1 ELISA
based antigen assay is commercially available for DENV and many investigators have evaluated this assay for sensitivity and specificity.
The NS1 assay may also be useful for differential diagnostics between flaviviruses because of the specificity of the assay.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON DENGUE :

Diagonosis of recent infection by Dengue virus can only be established on the basis of a combination of clinical and biological datas. The
result obtained on a single sample does not constitute a sufficient proof for diagnostic of recent infection.

Note:

Suraksha has launched Real Time PCR based assay for accurate and confirmatory diagnosis of Dengue virus up to 5
days of fever. ?
Real Time PCR is more confirmatory test for Dengue virus detection at early stage of fever, as per guideline of Centers for Disease
Control (C.D.C, U.S.A.), World Health Organization (W.H.O.), National Vector Bourne Disease Control Program (Govt. of India) and
Govt. of West Bengal.
This test also provides simultaneous qualitative detection of Chikungunya virus along with all serotypes of Dengue in shortest possible
Turn Around Time (TAT) and most affordable cost.
Precise and accurate early detection of Dengue and Chikungunya virus by highly reliable Real Time PCR method will help you manage
your patients in better and more effective way.

Kindly note the change in biological reference range.
