Chemical Process Technology (CHE 422)

Fall 2023

CHE 422 Project

Each group (-students) will submit a brief report summarizing the

technology of a certain Chemical Industry.

The following Report Format is recommended:

 Cover Page
 Summary (one page)
 Table of contents
 List of Figures (if any)
 List of Tables (if any)
 Introduction (Literature Review about the industry)
 Process Technology
- Raw materials
- Main reactions
- Manufacturing steps
- Flowsheet

And at least two topics from the following:

- Design & Operating conditions
- Utilities required
- Safety/ Hazards
- Marketing and market outlook

 Conclusions and Recommendations

 References

* Last Date of Submission: 02/01/ 2023

* Each group should prepare a brief class presentation ( 10 mins.) for their
Report.
* Grading: The grade of the project will be evaluated based on both Report &
Presentation.

General notes about the Report:

 Maximum number of pages: 25 (excluding cover page)
 Project must be written in good English.
 Tables and figures must have unique labels and with clear captions.
 References should be written in a standard fashion using
numbering system.
 Write on one side of the page.
 Page size: A4
 Font size: 12 for text; 14 bold for titles and subtitles
 Font type: Times New Roman
 Line spacing: double spacing
 All pages should be numbered
 All sections should have titles
