TINUNGBO FESTIVAL BATTLE OF THE BANDS 2024 GUIDELINES

(OPEN CATEGORY)
GUIDELINES:

1. The Battle of the Bands Competition is open to all band groups nationwide.

2. Each band must at least consist of four (4) members and is required to bring its
own musical instrument excluding drum set.

3. Band member may only enter and play with one (1) band. Violation of this rule
shall result to an automatic disqualification.

4. Each group must prepare three (3) songs for the competition:

A. Original Pilipino Music (OPM)

B. Reggae Song
C. Classic Rock

5. Each band will be given 20 minutes to set up and to perform. Beyond this limit, a
total of five (5) points will be deducted from the band group’s total score.

6. Only three (3) groups will be declared winners at the end of the competition and
the others who did not win will receive a consolation prize.

• Champion 30k
• 1st Runner Up 20k
• 2nd Runner Up 10k
Consolation Price 5k

7. All participants must be at Municipal Covered Court at exactly 1:00 PM.

8. 3 hours before the competition starts, all performers must be present for blocking
and sound testing.

9. The flow of performance will be identified through the draw lots during the final
briefing and orientation.

MUSICALITY: STAGE OWNERSHIP: OVERALL

vocal power – 20% power level – 20% PERFORMANCE:
instrumentation – 10% audience impact – 10% stage presence – 10%
Creativity – 20% style – 10%
