Co-workers suspected Young as he was never affected by the mysterious
illness, and Young blamed ‘Heavy Metal Poisoning’. Due to this unusual
knowledge of poisons, his manager contacted the police. The police
434mg of thallium, 32g of antimony, and several other fatal poisons such
as atropine, aconitine and digitalis.
Court/Outcome
Despite 75 witnesses being called to give testimonies, none of them were
in defence of Young. Young was acquitted on 4 counts of poisoning with
the intent to harm. In the end, Young was sentenced to life imprisonment.

Evidence
There was no evidence that Holmes killed people inside the ‘Murder
Castle’.Holmes was arrested for attempting to use a corpse in an
insurance scam.
Court/Outcome
Holmes was found guilty of one murder (Benjamin Pitezel) and sentenced
to death. It was then made obvious that Holmes was also guilty of killing
all three of Pitezel’s children. After his conviction, Holmes confessed to 27
murders, despite originally stating he had murdered over 100. Holmes
was hung on the 7th may 1896.
