Some rules:

Է/Ե
1.If [e] sound is heard at the beginning of a
word it’s written with է։
էջ(page),էկրան(screen),էներգիա(energy).
2. է is written in the middle of a word if there
is a root beginning with it(if է is the initial
letter of the root):
լայնէկրան(widescreen),էլեկտրաէներգիա(
Electrical energy).
3.In other cases the sound [e] is written with
ե:բերան(mouth),սեղան(table).
4.Remember!
It’s heard [e] at the beginning of the following
words ,but it’s written ե
Եմ[em]
Ես [es]
Ենք [enq]
Եք[eq]
Են[en]
 5.At the beginning of the word ե is
pronounced as յ+է[ye]:
երես[yeres](face),երկիր[yerkir](country)
6. Ե can connect the same words:
Սար + ե+ սար = սարեսար -from a mountain
to another
Տուն + ե+ տուն=տնետուն- from a home to
another
Օ/Ո
1. Օ is written at the beginning of the word:
օր,օրինակ
2. Օ is written in the middle of the word if there
is a root beginning with it: կեսօր(noon)
3. In other cases the sound [o] is written with ո ։
Ոսկոր,Սարո(Saro- a male name)
4. Ո is written at the beginning of the word if
we hear V+O(վ+օ): ոգի[voqi](spirit)

Definite Article

-ը [ə ]
is attached to the end of nouns ending in a
consonant։ շուն -շունը(dog—the dog) BUT:
շունն ու կատուն(the dog and the cat).
