Example 1: Physics - Newton's Laws of Motion

Date: January 2, 2024

Topic: Newton's Laws of Motion

I. Newton's First Law - Law of Inertia

An object at rest stays at rest, and an object in motion stays in motion with the
same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an external force.
Inertia: The tendency of an object to resist a change in its motion.
II. Newton's Second Law - Law of Acceleration

The acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the net force acting upon
the object and inversely proportional to the object's mass.
Equation:

F=ma
III. Newton's Third Law - Action and Reaction

For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Examples: Walking, rocket propulsion.
IV. Applications and Examples

Discuss real-world examples applying Newton's laws.

Problem-solving exercises: Calculate force, mass, and acceleration in different
scenarios.
V. Homework Assignment

Analyze a sports activity or a transportation method in terms of Newton's laws.

Due Date: January 9, 2024.
