Course Objectives: This course has the objective of acquainting the student with the theoretical and
practical concepts of mechanical unit operations with their equipments like size reduction,
agglomeration, mechanical and micro-process of fluid, mechanical and hydro-separation, mixing and
transportation of solid bulk industrial materials.

Learning Outcomes
Upon the completion of this course, the students should be able to understand:
 The concept of particle technology.
 Size reduction equipments and their working principle
 Types of transportation and storage of solid bulks in chemical process industry.
 Mechanical separation equipment’s and application
