1. PURPOSE

The purpose of this method statement is to identify the

tasks involved in this work and to explain all the involved
parties’ step by step procedures adapted.
To ensure the works are carried out in a Safe, efficient
and environmentally friendly manner.
2. SCOPE
This method statement covers the Site installation area

for BOM 10 project only.
3. RESPONSIBILITIES OF KEY PERSONNEL
3.1 Project Manager
• Responsible for overall activity of the project.

• Coordinate with J4C site, HO team, CBRE team
and DIGITAL CONNEXION team for compliance
to all project requirements.
• Attends Weekly site walkthrough for HSE issues
3.2Construction Manager
• Responsible for overall Implementation,
monitoring and control of all activities.
• Interact with site team and DIGITAL
CONNEXION team and CBRE team to sort-out
all technical and HSE issues for the smooth
functioning of site.
• Attends Weekly site walkthrough for HSE
issues in the absence of Project Manager

3.3 Site Engineer
• Responsible for all the activities that being carried out at

site.
• Coordinate with site team DIGITAL
CONNEXION Supervisory team for
compliance to Technical and HSE guidelines.
• Attends daily Toolbox meeting and work briefing to
workers.
• Attends Weekly site walkthrough for HSE issues.
• Prepare site level DPR and get it endorsed to DIGITAL
CONNEXION supervisory team.
3.4 Safety Officer
• Conduct necessary induction training for workers.
• Responsible for ensuring that all
applicable safety and environmental
measures are implemented during the
period of construction.
• Ensure that recipients understand method statements
and construction.
• Attends Weekly site walkthrough for HSE issues
3.5 Supervisor
• Responsible for material handling, loading and
unloading of equipment observe safety and
quality standards, materials, tools safekeeping,
monitor labor workforce.
• Executing the work as per all specification and schedule.
• Ensure our boundaries for office and camp area.
• Read the drawing and execute the work according to the
drawing.
• Ensure that brief the TASC to workmen related to the
concern job.

method of statement and HIRA must be followed to
eliminate the risk involved in the activities.
• Ensured all safety measures in place during working at
height.
• Monitoring separation of solid waste.

3.6 Environmental Officer

• Monitor and construction of silt fences.
• Control of erosion.
• Monitoring Top soil striping and Stock pile.
• Monitoring unsuitable material stockpile.
• Monitoring rehabilitation of affected area.
• Waste management and control.

• Conducting focus audit on environmental activities.
• Ensuring complying general environmental standard.
• Attends Weekly site walkthrough for HSE issues.

Ensure requirement of land clearance certificate are
strictly complied with.

5. HEALTH AND SAFETY
5.1 HAZARD IDENTIFICATION AND RISK ASSESSMENT
Please refer to attached individual Task HIRA for this section
5.2 Personal Protective Equipment
• Hard Helmet

6. GENERAL
• All workers shall be made aware of the activities

being carried out, Safe work procedure and
emergency response plan.
• Working area will be barricaded locally, signboards,
traffic control etc. will be arranged to prevent entry
of the other unauthorized workers.
• The Task methodology shall be explained to all the key

personnel and workmen involved in that activity and standing
instructions will be given.

• Safety induction will be done for all workers before carrying

out the job.
• Tool box meeting will be conducted daily for each activity.
• Work area shall be cleaned from the debris, steel waste, paint
etc.
• First aid facilities will be available at site.
• Trained First-Aider shall be deployed at site.

7.1 Task statement for Clearing and Grubbing

USE actual photographs of BOM10 site Images
• After the area is approved and allotted, necessary

recognition survey of the area shall be done with
DIGITAL CONNEXION/ CBRE's as per Environmental
standard manual.
• All the bushes shall be cleared by machinery and
necessary care must be taken to drive away poisonous
insects and snakes if any.
• The site features like pits, manholes, structures, cable
ducts, water ducts, cable line and others shall be
identified and barricaded with safety tapes.
• Top soil is to be striped only from those area that will be
disturbed by any activity.
• Sediment basins, diversions and other controls for storm
water and sediment control must be put in place before
starting to striping to soil or clear & grub.

• Before striping the topsoil, identify topsoil storage area.

• Striping of the topsoil will be done manually if the area is
infested with services and or by Dozer/Pay loader if the area is
free of any utilities.
• Installation of Erosion and sediment control is to be arrange as
per J4C
• Environmental aspect.
• All top soil and organic material to be stored in a top
soil stock pit area as per site layouts and prepared as per
standards and specification for top soil stock pits.
• Banks man/ Flag man shall direct the movement of dumper,

7.2 Task statement for Survey and Setting out

• Barricade the area and put up necessary warning signs.

• Make a walk through and identify the available
project Bench Mark (BM}, confirm the
coordinates, Reduce Level (RL) and prepare the

survey path and setting out as per drawings.
• Check all the survey equipment’s for

calibration and measuring tapes for cut and
alternation
• Ensure Survey equipment and cools are properly
handled, stored and always kept under shade.
• No vehicle is allowed in to the setting out area
and necessary precautions shall be taken to
post a signal man if the survey is carried out
along the road.
• Carry out the survey and mark the points with
wooden sieges printed with white color to
improve the visibility and to avoid tripping of
workers.
• Safeguard the transferred BM and control
Points with barricading tapes.
• All the ground marking shall be carried out with lime
powder Or non-hazardous marking powder. On
completion of setting out all the temporary pegs must be
removed.
• Site Benchmarks & Control Points and all
activities (item wise) workplace & post
survey work should be approved by
DIGITAL CONNEXION/ J4C surveyor.

7.3 Task statement for Site Grading

• Prepare necessary survey drawing with

necessary gradient for proper drainage
of water.
• Identify and barricade the particular days of work area.
• Based on the prepared survey drawings mark the areas of
cut and fill.
• Inspect and identify underground utilities
by digging with the help of excavator/hand
tools and mark them and inform to J4C
/DIGITAL CONNEXION representative.
• Signal man shall be deployed at site to guide the movement of

equipment.
• Suitable soil originated from excavation will be-hauled and
used as fill material within site limits
• Soil to be inspected by QC Engineer and DIGITAL
CONNEXION representative and shall be checked
with CBRE representative. Unsuitable soil

area as per DIGITAL CONNEXION /CBRE
representative instructions.
• Erosion and sediment control to be installed before dumping of
subsoil.
• Storm water trenches/ ditches to be installed.
• Laying of backfilling soil layer wise filled with testing of compaction
level.
• Filling works shall be carried out by means of
hauling fill material from approved /borrow
pits.
• Caution must be taken to avoid spillage on
roads and suitable no. of workers shall be
deployed to clear the spillage (if any).
7.4 Task statement for Office Container Installation

• Porta cabin location is marked as per the layout.

• Working area shall be barricaded from unauthorized person.
• Wooden/ Concrete sleeper shall be placed as per the layout.
• 30T crane shall be used for lifting and placing of Office container.
• Wire rope1" thickness type of slings to used,

7.5 Task statement for Sewerage System

• Plan and prepare the necessary installation drawings

based on the site levels with suitable gradient.
• The erection area shall be barricaded with barricading tape.
• Setting out will be done with marking lime power / or suitable

• Signal man and riggers will be deployed for guiding the
excavator and dumpers.
• Excavation for ditch shall be carried out by excavator
and immediately laid with PVC pipes and back filled.
Warning tape shall be installed.
• Septic tank shall be construct in three
compartment o r chamber with underflow system
before it goes to the soak.
• The following sequence shall be followed as per site
requirement.
• Brick lining work will be done according to
the drawing and constructed in chambers.
Flooring of the tank shall be concreted.
• Inlet and outlet pipe connection shall be
done after the concrete work is completed
and finally Laying of pre cast cover slab
and sealing of sides to be done.
• Utility fittings shall be connected and tested for leakages.
• Excavation safety consideration- inspection- sloping - soil placement.
• Activator for assisting biological degrading of
sewerage to be added to septic tank.
• Drain will be at least 5 meters away from
septic tank and 100 meters away from
boreholes. (Septic Tank and drain drawing will
be submitted separately).

7.6 Task Statement for Temporary Shed, Induction Room & First
aid Centre
• Area shall be cleared for temporary shed & Safety facility.

• Store and Rest room area shall be marked with the help
of line length and
L i me powder.
• Area shall be levelled with cunning and filling of soil.
• Precast Foundation Blocks shall be installed for Safety

containers.
• 2 no’s Safety containers shall be installed with the help of
30T crane.
• Shed work shall be done adjacent to the Safety container.
• Lean (PCC) concreting shall be done for floor.

• Wooden frame shall be erected for shed.
• After framework: PVC Sheets shall be installed for roofing.

• Benches shall be provide for sitting arrangement.

• Drinking water facility shall be provided at shed.
• Before start the work, pit latrine facility shall be provide
outside of shed at the corner of fencing.

• After positioning of office container Electrical Installation

i.e., Internet line,
Power line, lighting arrangement shall be done.
• After Electrical and furniture Installation,

computers shall be setup at designated place.
• Need cables to be installed as per project standard-

Demarcated.
• Tripping circuit/earth leakage required 220V distribution

boxes.
• All electrical work is inspected and verified by

appointed electrical J4C/BM DLR representative
will be issued only if compliance is verified.
