Final Capstone Project Reflection Questions

(Please give specific detailed answers.)

1. In the process of completing your Capstone Project, what did you learn about your subject?
What did you learn about your skill set? What did you learn about yourself?

I learned that coding goes beyond the technical aspects. It's a tool for creativity and education.
Game design, in particular, demonstrated how coding can be both fun and instructive. My skills
in Python and Unity improved significantly. I honed problem-solving abilities and learned to
communicate technical concepts effectively, making me accessible to a broader audience. I
discovered a passion for teaching and community engagement. Overcoming challenges in the
project reinforced my perseverance and determination.

2. How is your project relevant to you? How is it relevant to the school? How is it relevant to the
community?
My Capstone project is personally relevant as it taps into my love for coding, creativity, and
education, offering a platform to share these passions. It's aligned with the school's dedication
to nurturing creativity and innovation. It also demonstrates the practical application of technical
skills in the real world. In the community, the project plays a role in building a coding-friendly
environment, enriching educational and recreational opportunities for a diverse audience.

3. What impact did your Capstone have on you?

My Capstone project had a huge impact on me, enhancing my technical skills and
communication abilities. It instilled a responsibility in contributing positively to the community.
Also, it fosters a deeper connection between my interests in coding, creativity, and education.
This experience has been transformative, strengthening my commitment to using technology for
both personal and community enrichment.

4. What aspects of your project are you most proud of?

I take pride in the creative game designs and the project's accessibility. I make coding enjoyable
through mini-games. The positive community response is particularly gratifying, reflecting the
successful fusion of creativity and technical skills. These aspects collectively show the project's
impact in bridging the gap between coding and entertainment. Also, it fosters a welcoming
space for diverse skill levels.

5. What was a difficulty you encountered while researching your Capstone project? How were
you able to overcome those obstacles?
One tough part of my Capstone project was figuring out how to make the games not too
complicated or too simple. I solved this by asking for feedback and tweaking the games until
they were fun for everyone, no matter their skill level. This helped me learn to solve problems
and be flexible in making things better.
6. What is the one thing you would have changed about your project if you could?
If I could change one thing about my project, I would have started doing community activities
earlier. I think it would have made a huge impact over a longer time. It taught me the importance
of planning and getting involved with the community sooner to maximize the positive influence
of the project.

7. What advice would you offer to future Capstone students to help them with their Capstone
journey?
To future Capstone students, I'd suggest picking a project you're passionate about. Don't be
afraid of challenges; see them as chances to learn and grow. Get feedback regularly, and
remember that engaging with the community from the start can make a big difference. Embrace
the journey, stay curious, and enjoy the process—it's a unique opportunity to showcase what
you love and make a positive impact.
