CALL LETTER FOR SELECTION IN 152 NDA


COURSE COMMENCING IN JUL 2024

Dear Candidate,

1. Please refer your application for the above mentioned course.

2. You are required to report at 0600h (Morning) on your scheduled SSB date. This Call Letter along with your
original Admit Card would be the authority for you to report to 4 Air Force Selection Board (4 AFSB) for SSB
Testing. The same is to be handed over to the Board on arrival. You must report for the interview on the date, time
allotted to you. Late comers, on any account (inclusive of late running of trains/buses/airplane) will not be admitted for
test. You would be required to show your original admit card, call letter and identity proof (preferably AADHAAR
Card) at the reporting point Main Gate, 4 AFSB {400 mtrs from Platform No. 9, Varanasi Cantt Rly Station
(BSB)}. The first day consists of Phase-I & II testing which may last up to 2200 hrs. You are advised to take
adequate rest and come prepared for a long day of testing. You need to be attired in formal dress befitting the
occasion. In addition, before reporting at this board you must familiarize yourself and follow the latest instructions/
norms/ advisories of your home state and the state of Uttar Pradesh with respect to COVID Protocol. In case of any
requirement of registration on state e- portal, the same must be done well in advance.

3. On arrival at reporting point following would be carried out:-

(a) Thermal screening and checking of visible symptoms of cough & cold.

(b) Checking of self-certified undertaking regarding COVID-19 & vaccination certificate /RT-PCR Test
negative report.

(c) Possession of Certificate of vaccination (second dose must be administered 15 days prior to
reporting time at this Board) or COVID-19 RT-PCR negative report (with sample given not earlier than
72 hours prior to reporting time at this Board)

(d) Possession of face mask, Pocket sanitizer and water bottle. In case of any visible symptoms
you will be routed back without testing.

4. Selection Procedure. Candidates screened in after phase I testing will be retained for further testing and
screened out candidates will be routed back on the same day around 1500-1600h. General schedule of testing is as
follows:-

Day 1 Officer Intelligence Rating Test and Picture Perception & Discussion Test,
Document Check (For Phase-II candidates) followed by Lunch.
(Candidates not recommended for Phase-II will be routed back between
1500 hrs to 1700 hrs after lunch)
Phase II
Day 1 Psychological Test (1800 hrs to 2100 hrs) followed by filling up of PIQ.
Day2, 3 &4 Group Tests/ Interviews.
Day 5 Group Tests/ Interviews & Board Conference.
Candidates not recommended would depart after the Conference.
Candidates who are recommended would fill up documents after the Conference.
Non-flying branch candidates would depart after filling relevant forms.
Day 6 CPSS for candidates eligible for flying branch only. Document filling after CPSS for
relevant branch as applicable.

5. You should satisfy all eligibility criteria as mentioned in the UPSC examination notification No .10/2023-NDA-II
dated 17 May 2023 for the said entry. If you do not meet the eligibility as per advertisement in employment news or not
in possession of necessary documents (Listed in para 6 below), you will not be accepted for tests and will be routed
back without any payment of travelling allowance.
6. You must bring with you the following documents in original along with 03 Photo copies of the same.

(a) Matriculation/10th Passing certificate and Marks sheet in Original issued by the state/CBSE/ICSE
Board or a university as proof of Date of Birth. Any other document such as exam admit card/Transfer
Certificate etc will not be accepted as proof of date of birth.

(b) 12th Class Passing certificate and Marks sheet.

(c) Bonafide Certificate: For 12th appearing candidate in the current academic year, he/she
should bring a Bonafide Certificate from the Principal of the Institute indicating date of issue, subject
studying (Physics, chemistry & Mathematics) and expected date of declaration of result which should
not be later than 24 Jun 2024 with round seal of school and signature of principal with stamp, without
which bonafide certificate will be invalid. Specimen copy is annexed with this call letter.

(d) Admit Card and Call Letter (In original).

(e) Valid Photo Identity Aadhaar Card/Passport/Driving License/Voter Identity Card/ Identity Card of your
School/College.

(f) Certificates of achievements, if any (curricular, extra- curricular activities, sports etc.)

(g) Candidates must bring 25 recent passport size color photographs (not older than 03 months) taken in
light colored clothes against white background. The candidates should be visible in full face and both ears
in the photograph. Photographs for Sikh candidates must be in turban.

(h) Candidates have to mandatorily provide details of two Gazetted Officers or trust worthy persons
(not in blood relation) residing near their place of residence and who know them personally to facilitate
verification. The candidates should have in their possession the name, designation, postal address with pin
code and contact number of such references.

7. You are to bring following forms (sent along with this call letter), pre-filled, when reporting for SSB at this
centre. The date on the form will be your date of reporting at 4 AFSB. Go through the instructions before filling the
forms.
(a) Form of Indemnity Bond: If you are below 18 years of age, the Indemnity Bond must be signed
by your natural guardian (Father/Mother) and if your natural guardians are not alive, should be signed by the
legal guardian. Witness must be a person known to the parents/legal guardian who is above 18 years of age.
If, candidate is above 18 years of age, Indemnity Bond is to be signed by the Candidate. The witness in this
case must be a person above 18 years of age known to the candidate.

Note: Candidates below 18 years of age without proper Indemnity Bond (annexed along with this
call letter) will be routed back without testing.

(b) Declaration Form: Read the instructions carefully and then fill.

(c) Travelling Allowance (TA). Traveling Allowance by the shortest route for AC-III tier Mail/ Express
Trains to and from for the journey from the Nearest Railway Station as mention in documents to SSB centre.
You have to furnish the paper copy/ print out of railway ticket/ bus ticket/ air ticket (along with
boarding pass) to the Board, failing which no TA will be paid. The amount of TA shall be restricted to the
maximum amount authorized as per government rules or the actual amount paid on journey, whichever is less.
No TA is admissible, if you have already appeared for the same type of entry at any of the Selection Boards.
No TA will be paid for journey performed by private mode of transport, buses other than those run by the
Government Transport Department. Hard copy of Railway/ Bus Tickets and a cancelled cheque/ photocopy
of first page of bank passbook with details of account, IFSC Code are the mandatory requirements for
TA payment. Candidate should ensure that the bank account is active and in the name of the candidate
only.

Note. TA payment will not be made in cash. TA of eligible candidates will be paid into their bank account
through electronic transfer only.
(d) Candidate Questionnaire: Read the instructions before filling.

(e) Self-certification for COVID-19.


(f) Vaccination Report: Vaccination certificate to be downloaded from COWIN app clearly indicating
date of both the doses, Second dose must be administered 15 days prior to reporting date.

OR

COVID-19 Negative report (RT-PCR only) for which Sample given is not earlier than
72 hours prior to reporting at this board. Candidate may also show RT-PCR negative report in soft copy.
8. Requisites. You are advised to bring the following items for the purpose of testing:-

(a) Dress for Testing. (Group Test).

For Male candidate: At least two pairs of white shirt/ T-shirt, shorts/ trousers, track suit (in winters
only), socks, a pair of sports shoes for Group Test. Bring adequate clothing for six days
catering to weather conditions.

For Female candidate: At least two pair of white shirt/ T-shirt, trousers/ track Suit, socks, and a
pair of sports shoes for Group Testing. Bring adequate clothing for six days catering to weather
conditions.

(b) Interview. Two pairs of formal dress (plain light coloured shirt with or without tie, dark colour trousers,
and formal shoes). For women candidates, any formal dress would do.

(c) Mess Premises. While going to dining hall, candidates must be in formal dress.

(d) Book Out. Candidates will not be allowed to go out of the Board premises for their entire period
of testing/ stay.

(e) Adequate writing material (Pens and lead pencils).

(f) You are advised to carry only one piece of bag or suitcase preferably hard shell. The same needs to
be properly tagged for easy identification.

9. You are advised to plan your arrival well in time catering for the late arrival of trains/Buses in this zone.
Candidates reporting late will not be accepted for testing.

10. Discipline.

(a) Your conduct and behavior during your stay at the Board is expected to be disciplined and orderly. Any
act of indiscipline or misconduct will lead to cancellation of your candidature. In all matters pertaining to
indiscipline and/ or misconduct, the decision of the President of the Board shall be final and no appeal against
his decision will be entertained. If you try and influence any member of the Board directly or indirectly, your
candidature will be cancelled.

(b) Carrying any type of weapons like gun, knife (including that of religious significance) and any type of
sharp objects are prohibited during your stay/ testing at the SSB.

(c) You are to withhold your move in case you have a relative at this Board and intimate the same
promptly the particulars of the person concerned and await further instructions. Any attempts made by
candidates, their relatives or friends to influence the members of Air Force Selection Board in their favour either
verbally or in writing will result in his name being removed from the list of candidates. In all matters of discipline,
the decision of President AFSB will be final and no appeal against his decision will be entertained.

(d) No facility exists at 4 AFSB for safe custody of cash and valuables. Therefore, do not bring any
valuables or excess money. Candidates are not permitted to carry their mobile phones, laptops, cameras,
media storage devices, Bluetooth devices, smart watches or any other electronic gadgets inside the Selection
Board premises. If brought the same will be deposited on arrival on Day 1 and will only be returned at
departure. If found in possession of prohibited items as mentioned above during your stay, your candidature will
be cancelled immediately and you shall be returned without further testing.
(e) You are advised to plan your arrival well in time catering to the late arrival of train/ bus in this zone.
Candidates reporting late will not be accepted for testing.
11. Physical Fitness. You are to be physically fit when you report for SSB. It is recommended that you start
with physical fitness regime to be able to undergo tests at this AFSB. Do not report to the Board for SSB if you do
not meet the height requirement as specified in the notification.

12. Recommended candidates will be required to proceed for medical examination at AFCME, New Delhi/ MH
Prayagraj (Allahabad). If recommended for Army/ Navy, location will be communicated after recommendation.

13. If at any point of time (after screen in, after recommendation by SSB and before the preparation of merit list
for the entry) it is found that you do not possess or unable to produce the documents required for verifying your
eligibility for the entry, your candidature would be forfeited.
14. Contact Information. In case of any query, contact on the telephone number and e-mail address
mentioned on the first page of Call Letter. All correspondence (preferably e-mail) with regard to this Call Letter should
be addressed to the President of the Board giving full details, including Roll No, Name, Date of Birth and Date of
reporting. Queries, if any, will be entertained on telephone between 0800 hrs to 1400 hrs from Tuesday to Thursday
and also on our e-mail. These instructions are generic in nature. The instructions contained in the Advertisement for
your course will be binding in determining your candidature for test and interview. In all matters, the decision of Air
Force authority shall be final. All correspondence with regard to this Call Letter should be addressed to the President of
the Board giving full details, including Course, Date of Reporting etc. You are advised to clarify any doubts well in
advance using the contacts given above rather than relying on unauthorized source of information or any other
information floating around in the environment.

of any covid hotspot.

sanitizer for your duration of testing.

3. Please strictly abide by all the DO'S and DONT'S of COVID-19 advisories issued by Govt of
India. Adhere to all the social distancing norms while travelling.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING INDEMNITY BOND

1. Need not to bring the Indemnity Bond on a stamp paper.

2. Date mentioned should be the date on which it is being signed.

3. Sign as a candidate if you are above 18 years of age and also get it signed by your parents as
witness.

4. If you are below 18 years of age, the bond should be signed by your natural guardian
(Father/Mother) and if your natural guardians are not alive, should be signed by the legal guardian.
Witness must be person known to the parents/legal guardian who is above 18 years of age. If
candidate is above 18 years of age, Indemnity Bond certificate to be signed by the Candidate. The
witness in this case should be of above 18 years of age known to the parents/candidate/legal
guardian.

Note: Candidates below 18 years of age without proper Indemnity Bond will be routed back.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING DECLARATION FORM
1. Ch No (PH-I) & CH NO (PH-II) – Leave blank
2. Next of Kin (NOK) details: NOK must be your parents. Legal guardian if parents are not alive.

3. Direct Ph-II: If you are reporting for Phase-II testing, tick yes. Otherwise, tick No.

4. Body tattoo: If you have any tattoo on any part of your body, tick yes. Otherwise, tick No.

5. Armed Forces/Govt/PSU: If you are serving in any of these, tick yes. Otherwise tick No. If
serving in any of these, bring NOC from your employer.

6. Sainik School/Military School/RIMC/AFPI/SPI: If you have studied in any of these institutes,


tick yes and specify the name of institute. Otherwise leave blank.

7. UPSC NO: Write UPSC roll number as in your admit card.

8. Batch No.: Leave blank

9. Date of Birth: Write your DOB (format DD/MM/YYYY) as per 10th certificate.
10. Name: Write your name as in 10th certificate.

11. Qualifying Exam: Tick on 10+2. Write the percentage of 10+2. If you are appearing in 10+2
exam, tick appearing and strike out the rest.

12. Are you a habitual wearer of Glasses/ Spectacles or contact lens? : If you are wearing any
kind of spectacles or contact lenses, tick yes. Otherwise, tick no.

13. FOR S/OUT & REPEATERS ONLY: Those candidates who are coming for SSB for the first
time, be it in Air Force, Army, Navy or Coast Guard, are to leave the table blank. For those who have
been to any SSB centre for testing before are required to fill the data. Mandatory columns should not
be left blank. In result column, if you are screened out on Day 1 of testing write S/Out. If you are not
recommended on the day of conference, write Not Rec and if you are a recommended candidate,
write Rec. You are also required to write number of days stayed at Selection Board for that particular

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING JOURNEY PARTICULARS


1. Write UPSC Roll number as in admit card.

2. Write your name as in 10th passing certificate.

3. Address mentioned must be same as in UPSC admit card and application form.

4. Write nearest railway station to the above mentioned address.

5. Write fare and ticket/PNR number of your travel tickets. Make sure to attach the print out of
the ticket and first page of bank passbook/ cancelled cheque before submitting this form.

6. Sign the form. Date mentioned should be your date of arrival at SSB.
This form will be submitted to the staff on your arrival. You are therefore advised to bring the form
duly filled along with hard copy of tickets before your arrival at this Board.

7. Journey particular form is to be mandatorily filled by all candidates.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING QUESTIONNAIRE


1. Questionnaire must be filled at your own. Write at the fields wherever required. Otherwise put
tick (√) in the remaining fields. Put (-) in the fields which are not applicable to you.

2. Specify numbers in table (7) and monthly income in INR. If you have seen an Air Force
Publicity Vehicle (Volvo bus carrying Air Force models inside), write yes. Also write suggestions if any.
Otherwise, write no.

3. Sign the form. Address mentioned must be same as in UPSC admit card. Date mentioned
should be your date of arrival at SSB.

4. This form will be submitted to the staff on your arrival. You are therefore advised to bring the
form duly filled before your arrival at this Board.
