“When will this end?”
It’s a question that I can’t answer… and neither can you.
Fear and panic are spreading by the minute, making it feel impossible to stay
positive and stay on course.
Will we become a victim of these circumstances, follow the lead of others and
live in fear? Will we let this stunt our growth?
OR…
Can we somehow flip these circumstances on their head, and turn this into a
time of growth and positivity?
That’s why I’m here – to help you walk the tough path.
To help you find the strength and the certainty to feel okay and focus on solutions.
To help you not only change your own state of mind around this chaos... but
even greater, become a role model to help others navigate through these tough
times.
This toolbox is packed with many of the most powerful lessons and trainings of
my entire career. These are trainings that have helped me through the toughest
times in my life and have fortunately impacted thousands of lives.
I encourage you to leverage these tools… don’t just scroll through this PDF
and then move on to the next thing in your day. I truly believe that would be
a mistake…
Open your mind and take action. Follow these trainings and do one or two of the
activities day after day.
They won’t take long – but the impact they will have on mastering your mindset,
allowing you to progress and your ability to lead others will be MASSIVE...trust
me.
I hope you’re safe and healthy. I hope you and your loved ones have access to the
resources you need.

Working From Home
THE DG TEAM CHECKLIST
These are the exact tips we shared during our company meeting to help everyone
stay productive, healthy and happy at home!
In The Morning...
Start a new daily routine. It’s easy to take your time getting out of bed, scroll through social media, and
throw on some pajamas before you start working. But creating a NEW routine will help you stay focused,
be productive and hold yourself accountable.
Set daily goals for yourself. Pick 3 things you NEED to accomplish today, and 2 more things you’d like
to get done if you have time. And at the end ofthe day, you can cross them off your list and be proud of
what you’ve done!
Pick a dedicated work space. And no, not your bed... This may not be the easiest task, but try to find one
or two spots at home where you can focus and get in a rhythm without distractions.
Find music that helps you focus. You’ve probably heard someone say they listen to classical music when
they work because it makes them more productive (or maybe that’s you!)... Whatever music helps you
get in the zone, play it. Total silence can sometimes make for a tough work environment.
Decorate your workspace. This doesn’t mean go out and buy a bunch of paintings or a new desk
(unless you want to)... but grab a small plant, or a picture with your family and set it near your dedicated
workspace. This is a small step but it makes a big difference for helping you feel comfortable.
Drink lots of water. You may already be a heavy water drinker with a bottle you carry everywhere... or you
may not be. Make sure you’re drinking plenty of water (whatever you think is a lot, drink more than that)
because it keeps you healthy and alert while working at home, where distractions can be at every turn.
Experts recommend drinking at least half your body weight in ounces of water every day!
End of Day...
Don’t overwork yourself! When your home and work are in the same place, the lines can get blurry and
it can be hard to turn work “off.” It’s so important to maintain that balance – so once you’ve accomplished
what you need to for the day, shut it down!
Pat yourself on the back. You made a list of what you wanted to get done... so if you followed through,
you should give yourself credit! If you have a physical, written list of goals that you can cross off, you
will mentally feel more prepared to stop working when the time comes (making it easier to avoid
overworking).

Surviving
vs. THRIVING
As Tony shares in his trainings, the human brain is designed for surviving. But in order to make
progress, be happy and achieve the life you desire, you have to fight that natural tendency. You have
to do the things that will help you THRIVE, not just SURVIVE. Here’s a few examples of how you could
choose to just survive… or you could make the harder choice and actually thrive.
Surviving Thriving
Start Your Day:
Scrolling through social media and letting Opening your journal and writing down
others dictate how you’ll feel today. 3 things you’re grateful for today.
Work
Stay in bed and do only what must Set up a dedicated workspace and set
get done today. clear, ambitious daily goals.
Mindset:
You allow outside negativity You view this time as an opportunity to grow,
to weigh you down. and you take action toward improving.
Personal Growth:
You tell yourself you’ll finish the course or You know that there’s never been a better time to
read the book when “things get better”. focus on your growth, so you spend MORE time
taking that course, reading that book, or starting
that project or business.
Leadership:
You look to others – social media, the news, people You decide to have a positive mindset, focus
around you – to tell you how you should feel. on growing from these circumstances and
push others to do the same.

How Gratitude
CAN CHANGE EVERYTHING
Being grateful is the cornerstone of happiness. It’s one of those things that you have to be consciously
aware of daily – especially during uncertain and tough times like these. No matter what you’re going
through (and I know right now it could be very hard), there’s always the opportunity to find gratitude
for things in our lives. Here’s my 3 best exercises to help you with your gratitude!
1 Letters of Gratitude
This week, create 5 handwritten letters of gratitude to people who have made an impact on your
life. When was the last time you wrote a handwritten letter? If you can’t write legibly (or don’t
want to spread germs), then type it and email it. But let me assure you, the impact of each letter
will be incredible. Send them to clients, a mentor, a teacher, your husband, your wife, your mother,
your father, your siblings, your children, your employees, your manager, or your boss.
2 Gratitude Journaling
Every day when you wake up, and again before you go to bed, write down 3 things you’re grateful
for on paper or in your journal. These can be anything from a compliment you got, to the roof over
your head, to your spouse, kids or a friend. I encourage you to take the time every day to find
gratitude in the small things and let your gratitude grow from there. When you can train yourself
to be grateful for a simple lunch or for a hug, then these little things add up and you become more
meaningfully grateful daily.
3 Gratitude Alarms
This is a cool little trick I learned from my good friend Brendon Burchard. In the craziness of our
day, it’s easy to forget to be grateful. So I set my phone alarm to go off every day at three different
times, with a description that pops up when the alarm goes off. At 10:00 a.m. the alarm sounds
and it reads, “Be optimistic, enthusiastic and loving” at 3:00 p.m. it goes off again and reads
“You can handle anything” and then again at 7:00 p.m. when I am typically home with my family
I see, “You are truly blessed, be grateful”. These little reminders typically make me take a 30
second break from whatever is going on and appreciate everything I have in this world.

The Better Life Challenge
is a 30-day journey
of making small yet powerful changes to feel more
fulfilled, motivated and prepared for success and
happiness especially during crazy times like these.
You can start by doing this activity every day for a week.
Use your phone to remind yourself.
Before you go to bed, put your phone on airplane mode. If you can, put it in another room.
Sit on the edge of your bed. Take four deep breaths that look like this: inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4
seconds with your lungs full of air, exhale for 4 seconds, then hold with your lungs empty for 4 seconds.
Remember “4, 4, 4, 4,” and repeat the cycle 4 times.
Think about two things that you’re grateful for today. In the midst of a terrible virus and an economic
shift, practicing gratitude is more important than ever.
Think about two things that you wish could happen tomorrow, and envision them happening.
Ask yourself: “What would it look like when these things happened for me?”
That’s it, you’re done. If you liked how that felt, do it every day.
And don’t forget to share the routine with your family and friends – everyone is
trying to adjust right now and by sharing this Challenge, you’re helping provide
support when we all need it most!
