Karim's Story
Karim is a 12 years old boy from Kuala Lumpur who likes to
cook. He starts helping his mother in the kitchen when he was
only 9 years old, At that time, he made simple dish like fried egg.
A year later, he cooked chicken rice. After some practices, he
now can bake macaroni and cheese.
Last week, after he had finished his homework, he watched
Fordon Ramsay and Chef Huan videos on how to make new chicken
dishes on YouTube. These two are his favourite cooks from
California and Kuala Lumpur. As he was watching the videos, he
saw a pop-up advertisement to find a cook to make lunch for the
poor in Happiness Kitchen, near to his area.
Karim was happy to be a part of the team. Ms. Chong, head
of the kitchen, showed him the place and other cooks who made
the meals together. On that day, they cook fish curry, mixed
vegetables with white rice. He was excited as he had done a good
thing. He hoped that one day, he will be a nice and kind chef.
