Responsibilities of WPR
➢ Understand the Work Permit System and the responsibilities of WPR .
➢ Review the permit certificate ,identify hazards ,unsafe act & conditions and measure the

control.

➢ Ensure all members of work team have read and understand the work permit and its

conditions.

➢ Provide evidence of the work team competencies.

➢ Sign the work permit to acknowledge understand of all stated conditions.

➢ Clarify with the responsible officer if any permit require ambiguous OR unclear and seek

clarification.

➢ Ensure the work team compare with all permit condition.

➢ Inform the responsible officer of any change in condition at the work site.

➢ Address any unsafe work practice / condition seen at site during work .

➢ Manage contractor employees to ensure safe execution of the worker scope.

➢ Must keep diligent fire watch for fire potential incident in the general area where the Hot

work is being performed.

➢ Must control access to confined space and keep diligent Standby man / Entry attendant for

any emergency hazards.

➢ Must monitor work at height operation and be prepared to assist in the retrieval of the

suspending work.

➢ Must keep the diligent watch man for underground and excavation area.

➢ Mandatory alternate refer to either Fire watch, Hole watch, Standby man, Elect hazard

watch man.

➢ STOP work if the condition change at site , for example Wind speed ,Sun storm ,Gas

leakage, Emergency siren / hooter.
