This document discusses theories and principles for using technology in learning. It describes Edgar Dale's Cone of Experience and Jerome Bruner's Three Tiered Model of Experience. It also discusses TPACK, which is using technology, pedagogy, and content knowledge to make learning more creative and innovative. The document then covers using various media like visual, audio, and manipulatives to enhance learning. Visual aids can be projected or non-projected. Audio media help with listening skills. Audio-visual and manipulative media can engage students and help them understand concepts through hands-on learning. However, multimedia and educational videos require technology proficiency and can cause students to lose focus.

Synthesis Module 3: Theories and Principles in the use and design
of technology driven learning process The one who devised the ‘Cone of Experience ‘ is Edgar Dale, he is the father of the modern media in education. It is based on his observation of Learners and the experience of the teacher. Jerome Bruner devised his own version of Cone of Experience to ‘The three tiered of Experience, it means that every area of knowledge can be learned and presented through, enactive, Iconic, symbolic series. The TPACK or Technological, Pedagogical, and Content Knowledge, which is the use of technology in learning, and help the learner and teacher be creative and innovative, the skills in technology can help us to be globally competitive. Synthesis Module 4: Enhancing learning with Various of Media (Visual and Media) Media can also referred as an instructional materials which means by information is conveyed from one place to another. Learning with it is conveyance on ideas in forms that can be read or look, the two visual media are non projected visual and projected visual. The Non- projected visual (two – dimensional) media that are presented in flat surface. The Projected ( three – dimensional) visual media are presented in realistic visual. Advantages of visual Aids are tend to be more interactive and help emphasize a point while it’s disadvantages are time consuming in preparation. Audio media stimulate listening skills of the Learners when presenting a lesson. Advantages of Audio learning Devices is to motivate and vitalizing teaching and learning, and it’s disadvantages is more expensive materials compared to ordinary or traditional materials. Synthesis MODULE 5: ENHANCING LEARNING WITH VARIOUS FORMS OF MEDIA (AUDIO – VISUAL AND MANIPULATIVE) Projected Media and Display Technologies, display surface can be used for viewing visuals. Learning with audio – visual media can help us easily understand work with the use technology in teaching and learning process. The benefits of using educational video in classroom are to challenge students to predict the outcome. The limitation of using Educational Video in the classroom is can cause students to lose focus. Multimedia is a combination of different forms of interaction content. The advantages of using multimedia it creates professional look and its disadvantage students who not proficient with technology may not spend more time learning computer skills. Manipulatives is used to engage student on hands – on learning. The usage of materials and had connection to the learning process thus, it can enhance thinking of the student.
