Topic 4: Are smartphones harmful or helpful for teenagers?
According to the topic, I think smartphones are useful for teenagers based on three reasons. The first
reason is teenagers can use smartphones for learning and researching. They can use smartphones to research
definitions, formulas, the answers to homework and access online resources such as e-books and educational
apps. The second reason is that it is easy to stay in touch with family and friends. As we know that modern
smartphones have many apps like Instagram, Fackbook, WhatsApp, WeChat...etc, by chat, audio call and
video call to stay in touch with their family and friend. It also provides them with security to contact their
family easily when they have an emergency. The last reason is smartphones have a lot of entertainment.
smartphones are not only devices for communication but they offer a multitude of entertainment options like
movies, TV shows, music, podcasts, e-books, and gaming apps that can keep teenagers entertained during
their free time. In conclusion, smartphones are helpful for teenagers but teenagers should use smartphones as
their responsibility and shouldn't spend too much time on them.
