Huckleberry’s Clinic
Good Morning Teachers & Dear Friends.
The title of my story is ‘Dr Huckleberry’s Clinic’.
A group of friends often walked down to the ice-cream store across
the street to relish their favourite swirly cones! But they made sure
to stay clear from Dr. Huckleberry’s clinic next to the ice-cream
parlour. He was the grumpy, old Veterinary doctor who always gave
them scary looks.
One evening, at the park, they found 4 tiny new born pups bundled
together. The children got them some milk and they were now their
new friends.
Monsoon arrived. It had been 2 days and the rains refuse to stop.
The children were worried about their puppies. When the rain
stopped, they rushed to check on them but were heartbroken to see
them shivering and sick. They were shocked to see Dr. Huckleberry
attending to them. Surprisingly, his face was beaming with tender
care and compassion. They helped him rush back to the clinic with
the puppies. He dried them up and fed them warm milk with some
medicine drops. He assured the children that he would watch over
the sick pups through the night.
The kids noticed his gentle & caring nature & soon realized how
wrong they had been about him. It was heartwarming to see the
puppies active again the next day. And even more heartwarming to
see Dr Huckleberry smile!
Dr Huckleberry was a savior – the smiling old doctor of the block!
