Heritage Walk For Up
Heritage Walk For Up
23
Dear Parent,
Ahava Communication is organising ’British Historic Walk’ for the students of B.D.M.
International.
This is a great opportunity to witness some of the finest British mansions and
monuments of Kolkata. Calcutta was considered as the second city of the British
empire. It was named as ‘Calcutta by the Hooghly’, similar to ‘London by the
Thames’.
The walk will start at the Great Eastern Hotel, Esplanade mansions and end at St.
John's church. In between, the students will visit Peliti's, Great Eastern, Central
Telegraph Office, Currency Building, N. C. Dawn, St. Andrews, Writers, Lal Dighi,
GPO, Mac Lloyds, Hongkong House, Commercial Library and few such interesting
places. During the walk, they will learn the historical and cultural significance of
these great structures of art.
Interested students should get back to their Class Teachers with Rs 450/- in a sealed
envelope by 13th December (Wednesday).
The students need to report at school at 6.30 A.M. and will be dispersed from the
school at 12:20 P.M.
Warm Regards,
Class Teacher
