SCHOOL MEMORANDUM 004, s. 2023

CLASS SUSPENSION DUE TO EFFECTS OF SOUTHWEST MONSOON

To: All Teaching and Non- Teaching Personnel

In reference to Tropical Cyclone Bulletin No. 18 issued by DOST- PAGASA at 11 AM, May 31, 2023,
enhanced southwest monsoon will bring occasional to frequent wind gusts over Bicol Region, Western
Visayas, Aurora, Quezon, the northern portion of mainland Palawan including Calamian and Cuyo
Islands, Mindoro Provinces, Romblon, Ilocos Region and Cordillera Administrative Region that are not
under any wind signal.

Under D.O. 37, s. 2022, classes from Kindergarten to Grade 12 and work are automatically suspended
in schools situated in areas under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1- 5; or when the weather bureau
issues orange (intense) and red (torrential) rainfall warnings, or flood warning.

Due to the heavy rain brought by southwest monsoon, class suspension has been declared for today,
May 30, 2023. The suspension applies only to the learners, and teachers are still required to report to
school as scheduled.

Teachers are requested to be present at school to assist in any administrative and organizational tasks
that may arise during this period and to ensure the smooth operation of the school, even during this
challenging situation.

Weather situation will be closely monitored through coordination with the MDRRMO.

Stay tuned to our official Facebook page and SMS alerts, for any announcements regarding the
resumption of classes.
