* "The 3Ls of Empowerment" is a speech. * Mending wall is a poem about walls. Her parents were abroad. It tells about the effect of sensual drugs on brain.
* The speaker says that women can be empowered. * The wall separates the two neighbours. She began to study in India. Drugs can be divided into medicines and sensual drugs.
* We must do three things to help women. * There is a wall between the poet and his neighbour. Then she visited slums in Mumbai. Sensual drugs affect the brain cells.
* These are Learning, Labour and Leadership. * They meet every year to repair the wall. She wanted to do something to help the poor people there. The brain controls our body.
* Women must be given education. * The poet does not love walls. She decided to give basic education to their children. So, all our systems are affected.
* Women must be given jobs * But the neighbour says good fences make good neighbours She started Akanksha Foundation for this. This will lead to many problems.
* Women must reach key positions in society. Now Akanksha has many centres in India. Let’s say NO to DRUGS

It is a one act play.

* She holds them together. *But in the end, they leave without waiting for the result. It is common to all.

* Matchbox is a story of a married couple. * Robert Baldwin is an honest man. She was the first African woman to get Nobel Prize. The poet tells us the experience in a dental clinic.
* Ajit and Nomita are husband and wife. * He worked in Gresham’s bank. She started the Green Belt Movement. We will sit with our mouth wide open.
* She is from a poor family. * Gresham was his close friend. It was against deforestation and Commercial farming. We will not be able to move.
* She is beautiful. * Gresham misuses the fund and was arrested They planted millions of plants. The dentist will work like a man repairing a road.
* Ajit hides her letter regularly. * He asks Baldwin to lie at court. Kenya became green again All want to keep teeth clean to avoid dentist.
* One day Nomita finds this. * He even offers money. For that we have to visit the dentist regularly.
* She quarrels with him. * But Baldwin disagrees. RICE
* Women are like matchboxes. * All his family members ask Baldwin to tell a lie. CRIME AND PUNISHMENT
Rice is a poem by Chemmanam Chacko.
* They have great power. * But Baldwin is not ready. It is a short story written by R.K. Narayan.
The poet is returning from North India.
* But they remain silent. * Finally Gresham was punished. A teacher and a boy are the main characters.
He wanted to eat a meal of rice.
* Baldwin gets a job as a reward for his honesty. The parents appointed a private teacher for their child.
He is travelling in a train.

The boy was not ready to learn.
But when he reached home, he was shocked.

* Sudha Murty’s grandfather was a retired schoolteacher. * He is the founder of SammaaN. The boy blackmails the teacher.
The poem is a satire on the change of attitude.

* Grandfather listened to the travellers. * SammaaN helped them to buy their own rickshaws.
* Ratna was also like the grandfather. * SammaaN Taught their children
* She also listened to the problems of others. * SammaaN gave new life to the community.
* Both give relief to others * The community felt safe and happy
*Both are doing great social service.
