1.0 INTRODUCTION
On the 5th of December 2023,we were given the task to asses several keypoints,deduce the
problems as well as identify the mathematical concepts involved based on two videos
given;

After careful consideration and consultation with our lecturer,we concluded that the
mathematical concepts involved are indeed tied to sequence and series.We collectively
agreed that the first video requires an arithmetic progression solution whilst the latter
requires a geometric progression solution.To understand why this is so,we will first look
at a few observations obtained from our perspective,starting with the definitions of
arithmetic and geometric progression.

Arithmetic progression-A series of consecutive terms with a common difference


between them as a constant value. It serves to generalize a number of patterns that we see
in day-to-day living.
Geometric progression-With a geometric progression, every term that comes after is
created by multiplying the term that came before it by a constant amount known as a
common ratio. The term "geometric sequence of numbers" can also be used to describe
this progression.
