I invite students to look at the picture and predict what story it could be

Reading activity:
Divide students into groups and explain them the instructions of activity
By reading the first couple of sentences from the story “ George's Marvellous Medicine” I asked to
write down what they think will happen next.
Pre- writing activity:
Brainstorming: ask students to write about the main character’s appearance.
Ask students to use adjectives from previous lesson
Ask students: which character do you want to be like?
Ask students to explain “ Why do you want to be like this character?”

Reading activity:
Sequencing with pictures.
As I am reading the story, students should number the pictures in the order that they occur.
Alternatively, students could read the story aloud in small reading circles, numbering the pictures as
they go along.
Writing activity:
Ask students to fill in the story with appropriate words.
Grammar activity:
Ask students to choose the appropriate adjective in simple sentences

Reading activity:
Jigsaw
I am going to divide students into four groups and give each group one part of the story. After learning
their own part, they will share it with other groups
Post- writing activity:
Ask students to write the funny and sad parts of the story.
Voice of the writing: asks students why these parts make them feel sad or happy? Where do you see
yourself in this story?
Do peer review.
