Dear Hon. Sayson:

Good day!

Republic Act No. 10742, otherwise known as the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Reform Act
of 2015, as amended by Republic Act 11768, affirms the role of Filipino youth in nation-
building. This Act strengthens support for the creation of mechanisms and opportunities to
realize SK’s and the youth’s meaningful and active participation in governance.

As provisioned in the same law, any SK official, whether elected or appointed or any
member of the LYDC must undergo the mandatory training programs before she or he can
assume office.

In this view, the Local Youth Development Office and the Department of the Interior and
Local Government will conduct a Sangguniang Kabataan Mandatory Training for the
appointed SK Secretary and Treasurer on December 03, 2023, from 8 AM-5 PM, 4th Floor,
Plaza Maria Luiza Suites Inn, Dumaguete City (Beside Tops and Bottom).

With this, I would like to invite your newly appointed SK officials to attend the said activity,
as follows;

1. Ms. Cheyserr Marie D. Perez – SK Secretary

2. Mr. Jamiel Catan – SK Treasurer

SK officials must bring the following documents for registration;

a. Competent proof of identification (Photocopy-school, company, or any other government-issued ID)

b. Letter of Appointment (If already available)
c. 2 pcs. 1x1 ID Picture for the Barangay Official Information Sheet (BOIS)

To ensure formality and a professional atmosphere in the training, participants are advised
to dress up appropriately for the training.
