A water purifier is a device used for removing unwanted chemicals and biological contaminants from water obtained from water bodies
such as rivers, lakes, etc., to obtain pure drinking water, which is fit for human consumption or for industrial use. Water purifiers are
segmented based on function and technology used such as RO, UF, UV, media, etc. Water purifiers are categorized into ‘point of use’
and ‘point of entry’. Point of use (POU) water purifiers are those which can be directly installed at the tap water supply point, whereas,
