Admission methods to the Master's Degree programme with entry


requirements and academic knowledge assessment in:

Artificial Intelligence and Robotics

1. Stages of the procedure


To be admitted to the degree programme, it is necessary to:

a. Pay the €10 fee following the methods and deadlines laid down in paragraph 3.

b. Wait for the result of the entry requirements assessment. If the requirements are
not met, missing credits (ECTS) can be acquired by passing single courses.
Methods and costs are laid down in Article 41 of the Student Regulations.

c. Carry out the academic knowledge assessment in compliance with the


procedures laid down in paragraph 4.

d. Proceed to enrolment by paying the degree programme tuition fees following the
procedures and deadlines indicated in paragraph 5.
Enrolment can be carried out only after the Student Affairs Office sends the email
informing about the successful result of the entry requirements and academic
knowledge assessment.

Candidates coming from other Italian universities


After having carried out the payment, candidates must send via email to the educational affairs
office (segreteriadidattica@diag.uniroma1.it) within the same application deadlines for the
entry requirements assessment, a self-declaration of the educational qualification obtained
specifying the exams taken and the scientific-disciplinary sectors corresponding to the
subjects and a copy of the €10 payment receipt.
Failure to submit the self-declaration of the study plan previously carried out or an
unsuccessful result in the entry requirements assessment precludes enrolment in this specific
degree programme.

Graduand candidates
If the Programme Regulations allow it, students from Sapienza University of Rome or from
other Italian universities who have not graduated yet can also apply for the entry requirements
assessment, subject to the obligation to gain their degree by January 13, 2024 (for Sapienza
University of Rome graduands) and by December 16, 2023 (for graduands coming from other
Italian or international universities).

Candidates coming from foreign countries


Procedures for international candidates are indicated in paragraph 6.

2. Admission requirements
Admission to the Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics is subject to the criteria
for the assessment of curricular entry requirements specified below.
A prior assessment of the previous student career will be carried out. Candidates will be
admitted if the total number of credits (ECTS) validated in the foundational and core subjects
with the Scientific-Disciplinary Sectors (SSD) specified below is higher than 96 ECTS. Based
on the assessment of the student career, a study plan that may establish a differentiation of
careers for up to 36 ECTS will be identified.

Students must also have a good command of written and spoken English, equivalent to at
least a B2 level of proficiency.
Non-EU candidates residing abroad and applying for a student visa in Academic Year
2022/2023 are also required to have the pre-acceptance letter (Online Preselection
Application – Sapienza University of Rome (uniroma1.it).
Admission to the Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics is also subject to an
academic knowledge assessment, whose procedures are laid down in the Programme
Regulations.

3. Entry requirements assessment


The entry requirements assessment is requested by paying a €10 fee within one of the
following dates, chosen by the student:

- September 14, 2023 (only date available for non-EU students applying for a
student visa)
- October 16, 2023
- November 16, 2023
- December 14, 2023
- January 16, 2024 (date available only for Sapienza University graduands and
graduates).

The payment is generated on the Infostud system.


The payment must be made online with PagoPA (direct payment).
The code to insert on the system is 30431.

The result of the entry requirements assessment will be given on the candidate's institutional
email address (if activated) or on the candidate's personal email address given on Infostud.

4. Academic knowledge assessment


The academic knowledge assessment is carried out if the admission requirements are met.
For students who meet the curricular requirements, a Committee specifically appointed by the
Area Educational Board will assess the academic knowledge based on the following elements:
- bachelor's degree average grade
- pertinence of the bachelor's degree curriculum;
- other extra-curricular activities, including professional experiences and other educational
activities;
- interview, if any.
Based on the curricular requirements met and the academic knowledge assessment, the
Committee may establish a specific study plan for the master's degree, which the student
must follow.
The methods for the academic knowledge assessment, which is only open to students who
meet the curricular admission requirements, are laid down in the Programme Regulations,
available on the degree programme's website.

5. Enrolment
Enrolment is carried out by paying the programme's enrolment tuition fees after completing the
entry requirements and academic knowledge assessment with a successful result.
The payment is generated on the Infostud system.
The payment must be carried out online with PagoPA (direct payment).
The code to insert on the system is 30431.

6. Candidates with an international qualification


Procedures vary according to the citizenship and country of residence of candidates.

Candidates with non-EU citizenship residing abroad and applying for an entry visa and
Chinese students on the Marco Polo project
These candidates must hold the mandatory pre-acceptance letter.

Enrolment of candidates holding an international educational qualification


Following the successful result for the entry requirements assessment, or after receiving the
pre-acceptance letter, candidates holding an international educational qualification must
complete the enrolment procedure for the two-year master's degree in accordance with point 4
of the Office for Students with International Degrees webpage
