Advantage Of District Cooling Over Air Cooled Chiller

District cooling reduces noise pollution and is a good alternative to Air-cooled condensers on buildings.
The cooling load diversity across the site can be substantially reduced based on the installed capacity of the District
Cooling Plant.
The system provides good indoor comfort as better dehumidification is possible, as lower temperatures for the chilled
water can be achieved. The reduced temperatures result in better control of indoor humidity levels when compared to
decentralized Air-cooled chillers.

Equipment operation can be staged to match the building load profile.

A central plant and its distribution can be constructed in phases/stages to accommodate and allow provision for future
growth.

Using larger but fewer pieces of equipment generally reduces the overall operation and maintenance cost. It also allows
wider operating ranges and more flexible operating sequences.
