PROVISIONS FOR THE DEBATE- MAGNIFYING GLASS

Magnifying glass is a simple optical device that uses a convex lens to produce an enlarged
image of an object. It is typically set in a frame with a handle and is used to examine small or
finely detailed things such as fingerprints and fine print. In this essay, I will tell you the crucial
uses of this object. Firstly, they are commonly used in most laboratories and are the simplest
form of a basic microscope. For example, they can also be used when you want to see in great
detail of the creatures, and they have become the foundation of great advancements in
science, especially in biology and astronomy. Secondly, the magnifying glasses are widely used
for daily simple tasks, examine small things. For instance, we can use that when we read small
texts or studying microscopic organisms; look for the culprit with ease when you just need to
use the magnifying glass to search for every single detail fingerprints or footprints. In addition,
it can also use that magnifying glass to start a fire, the concentrated light can then cause the
object to heat up and potentially catch fire. This is known as the "burning glass" effect. Another
example is, when you go to the seaside, you can use it to start a campfire, or in the
circumstance when you are lost in an island along with your friends, you can use a magnifying
glass to create fire, then shine it on predators such as tigers, leopards... or reptiles such as
snakes, crocodiles... so that they can be burned. fire and run away immediately. Moreover,
when you throw a magnifying glass at the dangerous things I just mentioned above, it can
shatter into pieces and those pieces will pierce their flesh and you can escape death. All in all,
this is a very useful tool when you are stuck on an abandoned island.
