I am writing to express my strong interest in pursuing a Master's degree in Chemical Science

Engineering at the University of Twente. I have always been passionate about science and its
application in solving real-world problems, and I believe that a Master's degree in Chemical
Science Engineering would equip me with the skills and knowledge necessary to make

I completed my Bachelor's degree in Biological and Chemical Engineering at University of

Mekelle institute of Technology, where I was fortunate to be taught by excellent faculty that
sparked my interest in the field. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity
to work on various research projects, which helped me develop a strong foundation in the
principles of Chemical Engineering. My research project titled “Design of Drinking Water
Treatment Plant for Mekelle City” was published in the journal of Environmental Treatment
Techniques. I am particularly interested in the development of sustainable materials and
processes, which I believe is crucial in today’s world.

I am drawn to the University of Twente because of its reputation for excellence in research and
innovation, particularly in the areas of materials science and engineering. I am particularly
excited about the opportunity to work with the faculty members at the University of Twente,
who are not only experts in their respective fields but are also dedicated to mentoring and
guiding their students towards academic and professional success.

Moreover, the University of Twente's multidisciplinary approach to teaching and research

aligns with my own personal philosophy, as I strongly believe that collaboration across various
fields is essential in solving complex problems. I am excited about the prospect of working
alongside individuals from different backgrounds and disciplines, as I believe this will provide
me with a more comprehensive understanding of Chemical Science Engineering.

In conclusion, I believe that the Master's program in Chemical Science Engineering at the
University of Twente is the perfect opportunity for me to further my education and contribute
