department has organized the “Intelligent Property Right Workshop” on 6th March 2023 at 10:00 A.M.
The Workshop aims to provide a platform for students to enhance their understanding of the latest
advancements, technologies, and best practices in the field of Intelligent Property Right . It is compulsory
for all students to attend the Expert lecture .

Aim: The essential aim of research article writing is to communicate original research
findings and contribute to the existing body of knowledge in a clear, concise, and
well-structured manner.
Objectives:
1. Enhancing Awareness and Understanding:
Objective: To educate participants about the various forms of intellectual property rights
(IPR), including patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets, and provide a clear
understanding of their significance in protecting intellectual creations.
Activities: Presentations, case studies, and interactive discussions on the different types of
IPR, their scope, and real-world examples of IPR violations.
2. Empowering Participants to Protect Their Creations:
Objective: To equip participants, whether they are inventors, artists, entrepreneurs, or
researchers, with practical knowledge on how to secure and enforce their intellectual
property rights.

3. Promoting Ethical and Responsible Use of Intellectual Property:
Objective: To emphasize the importance of respecting the intellectual property rights of
others and fostering a culture of ethical and responsible use of intellectual creations.
Activities: Ethical dilemmas and case studies that challenge participants to consider the
ethical implications of various intellectual property scenarios. Discussions on fair use,
open-source initiatives, and the implications of plagiarism and piracy.

Outcomes:
● Workshop participants gain a deeper understanding of the various intellectual property
rights, including patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets, and how to apply them
to protect their creative works or inventions effectively.
● Participants are more likely to take concrete steps to protect their intellectual property
after the workshop, such as filing patent applications, registering copyrights or
trademarks, or implementing better trade secret protection measures.
Summary Report of Essential of Research Article Writing
The Intellectual Property Rights Workshop, organized by the Artificial Intelligence and
Data Science Department , took place on 6th March 2023 at Computer Engineering
Seminar Hall. This workshop aimed to educate participants on the importance of
intellectual property (IP) rights, enhance their understanding of various IP types, and

Understanding Intellectual Property


The Start of the workshop focused on providing participants with a solid foundation in intellectual
property concepts and types.
Session 1: Introduction to Intellectual Property: The workshop commenced with an introductory
session explaining the significance of intellectual property rights in the modern economy and the
legal framework governing them.
Session 2: Types of Intellectual Property: Participants learned about the four main types of
intellectual property rights: patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets. Each type was
explored in detail, including their purpose, scope, and registration processes.
Session 3:IP Case Studies: Real-world case studies were presented to illustrate the practical
implications of IP rights, emphasizing the importance of IP protection in various industries.

Empowering Participants
The same day delved into the practical aspects of IP protection and enforcement.
Session 4: Protecting Intellectual Property: Attendees gained insights into strategies for protecting
their intellectual creations, including patent and trademark registration, copyright management,
and trade secret safeguards.

Session 5: Ethical and Legal Considerations: The workshop explored ethical considerations in IP,
emphasizing the importance of respecting the intellectual property of others and adhering to
ethical practices. Legal experts provided guidance on IP infringement and enforcement.
Session 6: Interactive Workshops: Participants engaged in interactive workshops where they
drafted patent claims, examined copyright registration forms, and simulated IP protection
scenarios.
