1.0 INTRODUCTION

The purpose of this document is to describe the inspection and testing plan in connection with the metal
construction activities of full containment LPG storage tanks. This document also specifies the type and extent
of inspection and testing, applicable code, standard, specification documents, quality record requirement, and
inspection involvement by Contractor and Company.

2.0 SCOPE

This document is applicable to the field construction of LPG metal tank components of 1

3.0 DEFINITIONS

In the context of this document, the following abbreviation, words or phrases shall be taken to have the

5.0 GENERAL

The attached Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) identifies the type of inspection and test, witness inspection
requirements, type of inspection records required for each construction item.

The inspection testing procedures and the acceptance criteria to verify the quality characteristics shall be in
accordance with the applicable standard and specifications.

6.0 MATERIAL TRACEABILITY CLASSIFICATION

The material traceability classification indicated in the attached ITP, i.e., class A to E, is defined as follows.

Class A and B material require the full traceability against the minimum lot number indicated in the material
certificate, and the individual identification number shall be marked on each piece of component. This is
required for the primary components of LPG inner tank. The difference between class A and B is that the
earlier requires preparation of the as-built map, by which the final orientation of individual material in the
completed tank can be known.

Class C material requires the traceability against the material certificate, however, the individual identification
number is not required. The group identification marking is applied on each piece of component.

Class D material also requires the traceability against the material certificate, however, no particular identificati
on number is applied. Instead, erection mark is applied to the finished component. In case of the pre-
assembled component, Erection mark is given not to each piece contained in the component but to each assemb
led component unit.

Class E material is the components made of normal grade material, and does not require the particular
traceability control. Their material specification is verified by the material marking, delivery note, etc.
The specific traceability classification for each material is provided in the right end column of material table of
the drawing. While this ITP and S-79-1354-433 (P3777B-K-31) I&T procedure provide the general
information on traceability classification, if any conflict is found, the priority shall be given to the drawing.
