Adopting a pet - Co-read the story

One day, Bheem and his friends were going to Pehelwanpur to visit Shivani.
Suddenly, Chhutki stopped and said, “Look!” There was a puppy sitting near a bush,
crying. Chhutki and Bheem ran to the puppy and picked it up. They took the puppy
back to where the others were waiting. “I wonder where the puppy’s mother is,”
said Chhutki. “Let’s try and search for her,” said Jaggu. They all agreed and
started to search everywhere.
Bheem searched for the mother near some bushes, Raju searched near the pond,
Jaggu checked under all the rocks, Kalia looked behind some houses, and Dholu-
Bholu looked near a group of trees. But no one could find the puppy’s mother.
Chhutki stood holding the puppy. The puppy looked happy and was playing with
Chhutki! “Let’s go back to Dholakpur and ask if anyone has seen the mother,” said
Bheem. So they went back to Dholakpur and asked around. But, again, no one could
find the puppy’s mother.
“I will keep the puppy until we decide what to do with her,” said Chhutki. The
puppy and Chhutki had become good friends!
The next day, Rajkumari Indumati came to see the puppy. “This is such a cute
puppy! What will you do if you don’t find the mother, Chhutki?” she asked Chhutki.
“If I can’t find the mother, then I will adopt the puppy,” said Chutki. “Adopt this
puppy? Why can’t you buy a nice dog from the shop?” asked Dholu-Bholu.
“Dholu-Bholu, this puppy is already abandoned. I want to give her a happy home
and family. Otherwise she will be alone and homeless,” said Chhutki. “Oh! Then
adopting a homeless puppy is good,” said Raju. “Yes, it is!” said Bheem. The puppy
got a new home and Chhutki and her friends got a new furry friend!
Bheem asked everyone else, which pets would you like to have for yourself? I would
like to have turtle. Raju replied I will have rabbit, Kalia said he would have a cat,
Jaggu said he would like to have bird, Dholu-Bholu liked fishes.
