Summary
The Marketing Technician is responsible for supporting the research and development
of digital content, electronic visualizations, and software to support the understanding
and fulfillment of customer needs and to support company business development.The
candidate will develop, implement, and manage marketing campaigns promoting the
company's products, services, and brand. The candidate will majorly enhance brand
awareness, drive and analyze web traffic, and acquire leads/customers. The Marketing
Technician stewards all the digital channels and uses them to drive brand awareness
and generate leads by developing marketing strategy (digital, social, SEO, etc.),
campaigns, and content.

Duties

● Develops, implements, and oversees marketing campaigns promoting the


company's products, services, and brand.
● Develops marketing strategies that align with the company's business goals
● Oversees and execute campaigns across various digital channels, including
email, social media, search engines, and display advertising
● Measures and reports on the performance of digital marketing campaigns, and
assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
● Conducts market research and analyze trends to identify new opportunities and
improve campaign performance
● Collaborates with team members to produce engaging content in a variety of
formats (short and long form graphics, print, blog, audio, etc.) and optimize user
experience
● Stays up-to-date with emerging digital marketing trends, technologies
professional development to maintain currency in the field and for application to
work assignments

● Researches advertising trends, competitors’ pricing and products


● Brainstorms and implement experiments and conversion tests
● Ensures data collected are of the highest quality. Assists with analysis and
interpretation of data for product lines.
● Performs a variety of specific duties designed to develop knowledge and skill in
applying digital and information technology principles, methods, techniques, and
responsibilities in support of grant applications, research, and client acquisition.
● Carries out special projects designed to facilitate the fulfillment of the company’s
mission and vision.
● Keeps abreast of emerging technologies and.
● Visits sites, delivers presentations, and participates in training workshops.
● Assists in performing administrative duties for the company and projects.
● Works as part of a team
● Demonstrates ability to meet deadlines

Physical Demands: This position requires moderate periods of standing and sitting
while in an office setting. While in the field, considerable walking, lifting, and bending
might be necessary.

Work Environment: Office conditions do not require special safety precautions; field
conditions may include extreme heat or cold, rain, and hazardous environmental
conditions.

● Mobility - you may be required to travel vast distances to fulfill duties of this
position.
● You will be required to serve a 90 day probationary period
● Successful completion of all training and regulatory requirements as identified in
the applicable training plan
● Grade Point Average - 2.95 or higher out of a possible 4.0
● Completion of a pre-employment medical and health screening

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor's degree in information technology,


communications, or digital marketing; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of
information technology, communications, video and content editing, marketing, business
administration, operations research, mathematics, statistics, science, or subject-matter
courses requiring substantial competence in college-level information technology,
marketing or health research. In addition to meeting the basic entry qualification
requirements, applicants must have specialized experience and/or directly related
education. All educational requirements must be met not later than 30 April 2023.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and
or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each
position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including


volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps,
AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious;
spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical
competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience
that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying
experience, including volunteer experience.

Are There Any Special Requirements For This Position?

● Professional knowledge of basic principles, concepts, and practices of business


operations, marketing, research analysis to apply scientific methods and
techniques to analyze customer and stakeholder engagement

● Knowledge of mathematics and analysis to perform minor phases of a larger


assignment and prepare reports, documentation, and correspondence to
communicate factual and procedural information clearly.
● Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply market research rules and procedures in a
variety of situations and recommend solutions to co-workers and senior analysts.
● Ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data,
and recognize solutions.
● Ability to plan and organize work, and confer with co-workers effectively.
● Ability to identify trends and insights to plan and direct marketing campaigns
● Knowledge to steward company's digital presence and digital relationships,
keeping best practices in mind
