Swift DW2-AR Connector

Introduction
Oil States Industries is a leading manufacturer of advanced
connection systems for offshore tubulars. Our connec-
tors provide fast make-up and high performance ideal for
SCRs, TLPs, tethers, conductors, casing, new and replace-
ment caissons, HP risers, pipelines and jacket piles. Oil

ment our field-proven connector technologies.

The Swift DW2-AR is a gas tight metal to metal sealing

threaded connector, used for open water exploration and
platform casing strings where high strength and pressure

integrity are important. The Swift DW2-AR can be assem-
bled using standard rig tongs.

The Swift DW2-AR combines a rugged double-start thread Features

form with a deep stabbing design to eliminate cross
threading. The double-start thread reaches full pre-loaded
make-up in 1½ rotations. Full make-up is visually con-
firmed via external indicator faces (see drawing). Sealing
is provided by an integral gas tight metal-to-metal seal
with an elastomer O-ring secondary seal to prevent water
ingress.
Swift DW2-AR connectors can be used multiple times.
• 5,000 psi gas tight internal pressure rating
• Metal-seal connector for conductor and casing

• Primary metal seal with, back-up elastomer
• Environmental seal strength equivalent to casing
• Reversible and reusable
• Fast twin start make-up using rig tongs

Materials
Swift connectors are typically made from fatigue- com-
pliant 100 ksi material. Alternative material options are
available on request.
