Job Fest Details from PHDCCI

As you may be aware that the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, established in 1905, is a proactive and dynamic multi-State apex organization working at the grass-root level and with strong national and international linkages. The Chamber serves 11 Indian States and UT of Chandigarh. It has direct and indirect membership of about 45,000. PHD Chamber acts as a catalyst in the promotion of industry, trade and entrepreneurship. To fulfil the commitment for facilitating jobs for the unemployed youth of J&K, PHD Chamber is organizing Job Fest on rd 23 October 2011 at University of Kashmir, Hazratbal, Srinagar. We are inviting multifarious industry covering many verticals. You can send your final year students or interns from your college to participate in job fest. Mr. Omar Abdullah, Honble Chief Minister of the State is requested to inaugurate the fest and Mr. Abdul Gani Malik, Minister for Higher Education, Labour & Employment, J&K has been requested to be the Guest of Honor. Objectives of the event An opportunity to find out employment options best suited to the ability and skills of Job seeker. A platform for people to gather information about employment, vocational training and self-entrepreneurship. I would request you to kindly direct your office to inform the students about the Job Fest so that they can attend it. We would be greatly obliged if it would be possible for you to send us a sample of student profiles (such as educational qualifications) so that we can mail them to the companies participating in the job fest.
Profile of the interested students has to be email to the concerned authority of PHDCCi latest by 10 Th October 2011 hence interested students from Engineering & Management may register in the office of Training & Placement latest by 10 Th October 2011 4:00 p.m. There will be no liability on the University. Students will participate in this Job Fest at their own interest and risk. Students will have to make their own arrangements for their Boarding & Lodging.
