Course Project

Subject: ADVANCED ANTENNA ENGINEERING

Academic year: 2023-2024

Requests:

1) To simulate in Matlab the given antenna array (different for each group).

2) By means of computer analysis, determine and present the data, at least as follows:

a) Maximum gain and 3D radiation pattern, as well as its cut in the two main planes of the antenna;

b) The radiation model superimposed on the geometric model of the antenna;

c) Physical dimensions of the analyzed antenna (m);

d) The feeding method of each component element of the antenna (amplitude and phase, or complex number);

e) Directivity achieved;

f) Suggestions to increase the directivity of the analyzed antenna.

3) For the antenna analyzed above, evaluate:

a) Changing the amplification and radiation pattern by changing the distances between the elements by ±20% of the
value estimated in the points above.

b) Changing the radiation pattern by adding or reducing the number of elements by ±10%

The project will be defended with a PowerPoint presentation on 09.01.2024.

Before the project is defended, all material must be submitted in electronic format, including the
relation, the presentation and the simulated model by 08.01.2024.
The names of the electronic documents must be of the form: "DK01_Short signal of the antenna_Last name of the
student.zip"

Note:
The project can be carried out in a group or separately by each student, the defense is still individual regardless of
whether other students who have the same task have developed it or not.
