CH 10 - CIRCLES - WORKSHEET

SECTION A
1. In the given figure , if < POR =𝟏𝟏𝟎⸰ , then find the value of < PQR

2. ABCD is a cyclic quadrilateral in which AB || CD. If < D = 𝟕𝟎⸰,

then find all the remaining angles.

3. In the given figure , What is the measure of < ABC ?

4. Prove ‘ Equal chords of a circle subtend equal angles at the centre ’.

5. In a cyclic quadrilateral PQRS , if < P = 3 × < R , Find < P.

SECTION - B

6. In the given figure , find the value of x

7. In a circle, radius is 13 cm and a chord is drawn at a distance of 12 cm

from the centre. Find the length of the chord.

8. ABC is inscribed in a circle with centre O. If <ACB = 𝟒𝟎⸰, find

<ABC.

9. Two parallel chords of the circle whose radius is 13 cm is

respectively 10 cm and 24 cm . If they lie on opposite side of the
centre , find the distance between the chords.
SECTION C – (CASE STUDY)
10.There was a circular park in Defence colony at Delhi. For fencing
purpose, poles A , B , C and D were installed at the circumference of
the park.
Ram tied a wire from A to B to C and C to D . He managed to measure
the <A = 𝟏𝟎𝟎⸰ and < D = 𝟖𝟎⸰ . Point O in the middle of the park is the
centre of the circle .

Answer the following questions ;-

1. What is the value of < B and < C ?

2. What type of quadrilateral is ABCD and what is its property?

called?
