Short Film Mechanics

1. The presentation is intended to produce a short film that is anchored on their


assigned topic and genre.
2. Strictly observe the production and presentation of originally made material/piece.
3. Actor, director, scriptwriter, crew, videographer, editor, and others must be members
of the group.
4. All creative endeavors including but not limited to scriptwriting, directing, shooting,
editing, and musical scoring should be done by the group members.
5. The film must at least be 10 minutes long but not longer than 20 minutes in duration,
including opening and closing credits.
6. Animation and computer graphics are also permitted.
7. English, Tagalog, or a combination of these languages can be used within the
production. A clear subtitle in the same language must be available within the duration
of the short film.
8. Each group can use their preferred production equipment, costumes, and props
necessary for their production.
9. No foul words, obscene scenes, dangerous stunts/steps, and dangerous props
within the duration of the production.
10. Extras are allowed. Performer/s with an age lower than 18 years old must secure
written consent from their parents/guardians.
11. If any group violates any of the given provisions that group will automatically
disqualify from the presentation and receive a grade of 50.
