INTERNAL STRUCTURE OF THE EARTH

First of all thank you to give me this chance .My topic is about the internal
structure of the earth .first The structure of the earth is divided into three
major components: the crust, the mantle and core,. Each layer has a
unique chemical composition, physical state, and can impact life on
Earth's surface.

A, CORE
Earth's core is the very hot, very dense center of our planet. The ball-
shaped core lies beneath the cool, brittle crust and the mostly solid
mantle. The core is found about 2,900 kilometers (1,802 miles) below
Earth's surface, and has a radius of about 3,485 kilometers (2,165
miles).core take 15 % of earth surface .It is mainly composed of iron
and nickel alloy .core is divided into 2 inner core ;is solid even if its
temperature is higher than outer core

Outer core ;liquid because the temperature there are adequate to melt

the nickel alloy.

B, MANTLE
The mantle is the mostly solid bulk of Earth's interior. The mantle lies
between Earth's dense, super-heated core and its thin outer layer, the
crust. The mantle is about 2,900 kilometers (1,802 miles) thick, and
makes up a whopping 84 percent of Earth's total volume .It is a solid
layer but act like a viscous liquid due to temperature being close to
melting point of key mineral in this layer. The rocks that make up
Earth's mantle are mostly silicates—a wide variety of compounds that
share a silicon and oxygen structure. Common silicates found in the
mantle include olivine, garnet, and pyroxene. The other major type of
rock found in the mantle is magnesium oxide .Lithosphere is the
solid ,outer part of the earth ,including the brittle upper portion of the
mantle and the crust.

C ,CRUST
Crust” describes the outermost shell of a terrestrial planet. Earth's
crust is generally divided into, thicker continental crust and younger,
denser oceanic crust. The dynamic geology of Earth's crust is
informed by plate tectonics .It is the coldest layer and it is made of
solid rock .there are 2 types of crust are oceanic and continental crust

Oceanic crust ; Oceanic crust, extending 5-10 kilometers (3-6

kilometers) beneath the ocean floor .Continental crust: While the
continental crust is 30–70 km thick.
