Pequea Pizza Shop!

Standards (Kindergarten):
CC.2.1.K.A.2 Apply one-to-one correspondence to count the
number of objects.
CC.2.4.K.A.4 Classify objects and count the number of objects in
each category.

Materials:
1 Pizza mat
1 Expo Marker
1 Bag of Cards
1 Expo Marker
1 Bag of Cards

Directions:
Students will start on level 1 (Red) and advance as they master the levels.
To begin, students will pull a card from their level and read the side that says
“Order up”
Students will create their pizza by drawing the shapes with their expo marker.
Students will count the quanity of each shape and record it.
Students will trace the shape names.
Students will check the back of their card, that says “Check It!” to assure they
created the correct pizza.

Reasoning behind levels:


Red) Shows what they need, with no numbers up to 5.
Orange) Shows what do they need and how many up to 10. Includes shapes: circle, rectangle., triangles, square, hexagon , trapezoid.
Pink) Shows what they need, and how many up to 5. Includes shapes: circle, rectangle, triangle, square.
Green) Shows numbers to 10 written out. Includes shapes: circle, rectangle, triangle, square, hexagon, trapezoid, and diamonds.
