This Conversation is about Adhya who is from Karnataka
visits ladakh as a tourist and then she meets a girl of her
age whose name is Stanzin who is the guide.

Conversation
Stanzin:- Hi, my name is Stanzin and I am your guide. What is your
name? And from where are you?
Adhya:- My name is Adhya and I am from Karnataka. It’s nice to meet
you. Well I’m curious to know which language do you speak in Ladakh?
Stanzin:- In Ladakh the main language is Ladakhi & Balti which are
Tibetan dialects. Well same question to you what do you speak in
Karnataka?
Adhya:- We speak kannada in Karnataka.

Stanzin:- Do you know that The lifestyle of the people of Ladakh is

heavily influenced by Buddhism & Tibetan culture. The rule of
succession in property & responsibilities is followed. People cultivate
each other's fields during the harvest season, which promotes a
community feeling & brotherhood.
Adhya:- This is great, well Karnataka’s multilingual ethnicity,
astounding dance forms, mesmerising music, sophisticated
heritage, zealous festivities, elegant clothing and delectable cuisine.
Karnataka has a plethora of historical secrets, interwoven within a
rich and varied culture.
Stanzin:- Do you know what dress people in Ladakh wear?
Adhya:- No, I don’t Know. Can you please tell me.
Stanzin:- Sure I’ll tell you that Goncha or Kos or Sulma are the
main dress worn by all the communities in Ladakh. Can you tell me
what people in Karnataka wear?
Adhya:- Women of Karnataka usually dress in sarees & kurtis,
while men usually prefer to wear the dhoti and Kurta.

Stanzin:- That’s good, do you Know the festivals celebrated in Ladakh?

Adhya:- No, I have no idea. Can you tell me, please!
Stanzin:- The festivals celebrated in Ladakh are Spituk Gustor which is
celebrated in Ladakh after Losar(the new year), Dosmochey, Stok Guru
Tsechu, Matho Nagrang, Saka dawa, Yuru Kabgyat etc.
Adhya:- That’s great! Well do you Know the festivals celebrated in
Karnataka?
Stanzin:- I guess, I know one of the festivals , is it Ganesh Chaturthi ?
Adhya:- Yep, Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the festivals celebrated in
Karnataka. Any more guesses?
Stanzin:- No, no more guesses now. Can you tell me about the other
festivals of Karnataka.
Adhya:- Sure, why not , the other festivals of Karnataka are Mysore
Dasara, Karnataka Rajyotsava, Makar Sankranti, Vairamudi and
Ganesh Chaturthi which you told me earlier.

Uses And Importance Of Different Types Of Minerals

● Copper - Most copper is used in electrical equipment such as wiring and
motors. This is because it conducts both heat and electricity very well, and can
be drawn into wires. It also used in construction for example plumbing, and
industrial machinery such as heat exchangers.
● Magnesium - Magnesium is used in products to make it lightweight, such
as car seats, laptops, cameras , etc. As magnesium ignites easily and burns
with a bright light, it's used in flares, fireworks and sparklers.
● Gold - Gold is used in making items such as jewelry. Besides jewellery,
gold is used to increase the value of a huge range of decorative items, such as
medals and badges

● Coal - Power generation is the primary use for coal worldwide. Thermal
coal is burnt to create steam that drives turbines and generators for the
production of electricity.
● Iron - Iron rusts easily, yet it is the most important of all metals. 90% of
all metal that is refined today is iron. Most is used to manufacture steel,
used in civil engineering (reinforced concrete, girders etc) and in
manufacturing industry.
