OKUR KOMBI
Surface treatments carried out using conventional
application techniques and equipment have
always been a source of dissatisfaction, given
their inability to provide quality and a long
service life. Since this method is difficult to
apply and impractical, upon a request from
our clients, we were compelled to design a
completely new surface treatment vehicle. At the
heart of the surface treatment operation is the
laying of the bitumen binder and the aggregate
successively with an extremely short period of
time (approximately 0.35 seconds). This gave us
the idea of designing a double-purpose machine
that could meet this timing factor. OKUR
MACHINES sought to overcome the difficulties in
road construction when designing its combined
surface treatment machine, which we named
OKUR KOMBI.

WHAT IS SURFACE OVERLAY ?
Surface overlay is a road construction technique that has
proven itself over the years. Simply put, the treatment
involves spraying bitumen or a bitumen emulsion binder
onto an existing road through an asphalt distributor, and
immediately after, laying aggregate on the surface of this
treatment.
The benefits of this surface treatment technique include:
• Protection of infrastructure and the road surface by
preventing water inflow.
• An increase in braking performance due to surface
ruggedness.
• Low investment costs
