DIRECTION: Explain the scenario below. Write your answer on the space provided. (5 pts.)

You have prepared a chocolate drink for breakfast by adding 2 teaspoons of chocolate
powder and a teaspoon of sugar to a cup of hot water. After some time of stirring, you decided to
add 3 more teaspoons of sugar to make the drink sweeter. You have noticed that after several
minutes of stirring, there are still sugar particles left in the cup. What do you think has
happened? What type of solution was formed? Explain your answer.

1. Hydrogen Peroxide (NaOH) is usually used as disinfectant and for bleaching. For cleaning, a

ml of solution. Identify the percent by volume in the hydrogen peroxide solution.

2. A saline solution can conduct electricity and can be used also in making salted eggs. A saline
solution with a mass of 335 g has a 39.2 g of NaCl dissolved in it. What is the percent by mass
concentration of the solution?
