If you don’t mind trying new food, then you might like some of these strange
combinations of food. Most of us eat the same foods all the time. When we go on
vacation, we eat meals from different countries and we usually enjoy trying new food.
But here are some strange combinations of food for you to try:
➢Peanut butter and jam. We all know this combination, but when you think about
it… it is strange!
➢Cheese and potato chips and milk. I tried this combination and some people may
like the sweet and sour combination of this, but I can’t stand it. I don’t think this
idea will go viral!
➢French fries and ice cream. These two tastes are very different, a mixture of
sweet and salty. At first, I didn’t like this combination but when I finished the
bowl. I decided that it was an amazing dish!
➢Pizza and chocolate. OK, so you need to forget normal pizzas, forget cheese, and
forget ham. Now try your pizza with chocolate. You have to make a simple pizza
and put the chocolate on the pizza when it comes out of the oven and it is still
hot.
➢Apples with salt and pepper. Easy to make and a fun way to eat your fruit.
➢Avocado and chocolate. If you love avocado and you love chocolate, then you
might like this. I love them both but I prefer to eat them separately.
B. Read the article. Then write the name of the person each statement refers
to Tatiana, Vika, or Paul.
Tatiana
My boyfriend Walter and I stayed at the Top of the Park for two nights last week. We
both work at a call center and have very busy schedules. We loved the Top of The Park,
and we had a nice room on the 4th floor. I’d recommend the breakfast which is delicious.
There was cereal, yogurt, fruit, boiled eggs, fried eggs, even avocado on toast. It really
was very good. My only complaint is that it isn’t downtown. You have to take a subway,
which takes about 20 minutes to the center of the city.
Vika
We wanted to stay in a quiet hotel. My friend Nastia has had health problems recently
so I wanted a quiet hotel to relax. Top of the Park was perfect for us. The rooms were
nice and big and Nastia had a view over a beautiful park with some lovely fountains.
We went downtown one day and it was an easy trip because the subway was near the
hotel, and the staff gave us information and guidebooks. It was freezing weather at the
time, but the hotel was nice and warm.
Paul
My wife and I stayed at the Top of the Park for a romantic weekend. We’ve been
married for twenty years and I wanted to take her to a nice hotel to celebrate. I booked
online, but I called the hotel before we arrived to tell them that it was a special day for
us. When we arrived at our room, we had a bouquet of flowers and candy in our room!
I think we’ll be going back to this hotel again for our next anniversary.
