Understanding Covenant - Walking in The Fulness of WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST - Sunday 31st December 2023
RECAP
With every family lineage, there is a grace that is imparted by God to each
family lineage.
This grace gets passed down the family lineage and becomes the ‘signature
mark’ of the family bloodline.
Satan will often try to infiltrate the family bloodline and interrupt the grace
on the family lineage by capitalizing on the misdemeanors of those who
become the ‘weak link’ in the family lineage.
We learn from Josiah that in order to ‘reboot’ the grace on the family lineage,
it will be necessary to keep certain covenantal obligations, so as to possess
what rightfully belongs to a generation or a nation.
This means the fate of the fulfillment of the promises of God in family lineage
or even that nation rests on that persons shoulders.
The twelve stones taken from the river are spiritually quickened biblical
truths- truths that may have lain dormant, but now by the power of the Holy
Spirit come alive during times of divine visitation.
1. The stone of HUMULTY AND SIMPLICITY
For us to walk in the fulness of who we are in Christ, we need to embrace the
integrity of the word of God.
2 Cor 3:18 NKJV
18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the
Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just
as by the Spirit of the Lord.
The word of God that is our mirror, becomes the transforming agent, that
transforms us into the same image as our Lord Jesus Christ, so that we can
walk into the fulness of who we are in Christ.
We need to study it, internalize it and become a doer of the word; this will
result in us living in the fulness of who we are in Christ.
Ps 119:11KJV
11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
How do you hide God’s word in your heart?
This means that the word of God that we get exposed to, must get absorbed
into our spiritual system, so that it can release its transformation power
This is like eating food- there is ingestion, digestion and then assimilation
This process on the spiritual side is well illustrated in the parable of the
Sower- Mk 4:3ff cf Lk 8:15
MESSAGE
15 "But the seed in the good earth — these are the good-hearts who seize
the Word and hold on no matter what, sticking with it until there's a
harvest.
AMP
15 But as for that [seed] in the good soil, these are [the people] who,
hearing the Word, hold it fast in a just (l noble, virtuous) and worthy heart,
and steadily bring forth fruit with patience.
AMP
31 So Jesus said to those Jews who had believed in Him, If you abide in
My word [hold fast to My teachings and live in accordance with them], you
are truly My disciples.
MESSAGE
31 Then Jesus turned to the Jews who had claimed to believe in him. "If
you stick with this, living out what I tell you, you are my disciples for sure.
32 Then you will experience for yourselves the truth, and the truth will free
you."
This suggests that that only hearing God’s word is not enough, we must find a
way of continuing in it, by internalising it and practicing it- because the bible
way of knowing something is not by sense knowledge, but it is by revelation

CONCLUSION
1. Worship - It is designed to focus on the Lord and His works (Ps. 27:4;

It is a means of elevating the spiritual over the material world and the
world of activity
In Joshua 1:8, God promised Joshua success as part of the fruit of his
meditation on the Word
